Emily doesn't want to talk about it for fear of exploding. Lucky understands and they commiserate. With Laura at the top of the stairs, she hears Lucky talk about how his mom doesn't understand how angry he is inside. Emily does compare living at the Quartermaines to being put in the middle of an alien space family where they where what they say and do has code underneath it all and she doesn't have the translator to break the code. As they're ready to go off to school, Laura brings each of them a piece of banana cake as a treat for lunch. Lucky offers to take Emily to Luke’s Club and Laura says it is okay with her. 10/6 Lucky arrives with Emily for a tour from Luke himself hitting all the high points of the place including Lucy's shoe and Felicia's birthing table, but when Bobbie arrives, Emily rushes out. Bobbie starts to tell Luke about the escapade in New York while outside Emily does the same for Lucky. Emily fills Lucky in on the details about Alan and Bobbie and even admits she saw them kissing before. Emily says she doesn't want to go back to the Q's and wonders why they'd even want her since they don't want each other. Lucky urges her to tell Alan about her feelings and see what he says. Luke gives Bobbie an "I told you so," but also offers her his support no matter what. After she leaves, Lucky returns, and they discuss Bobbie. Luke tells him that though they "toyed" with the idea nothing happened. Lucky asks if Luke would do that to Laura. He says no even though he's pretty ticked at her. Lucky is relieved. Luke and Lucky discuss Emily and how Lucky can help her. 10/9 At the Q mansion, Emily and Lucky play with the dogs and banter about her problem with Alan and the rest of the Quartermaines. She continues to act bummed because she doesn't know who to talk to about the Alan/Bobbie situation and she's still unable to trust anyone. Monica overhears the end of the conversation. Monica walks in and puts on the charm with Emily and Lucky. Lucky tries to bow out and take off but Emily wants him to stay. Lucky claims his mom needs him so he leaves. 10/11 Laura is disturbed to hear Lucky had made plans to eat dinner at Luke’s without informing her. She is even more dismayed to hear that the dinner is an "intimate" birthday dinner party for Ruby. Seems neither Luke nor Lucky thought Laura would be interested since it was to be at the club. Now that he hears his mom is interested Lucky thinks maybe she's changed her mind about the club, but no, Laura hasn't changed her mind. She calls Luke and asks about her "invitation being lost in the mail" so Luke just says she can come with a "More the merrier" quip. As Lucky heads out to the club, Tony arrives, he's her ride. It's a good thing Laura found out about the dinner party or else she wouldn't have known what Tony was talking about. She accepts his offer and then asks the whereabouts of Bobbie. Without going into all the gory details Tony tells Laura about finding Bobbie in Alan's hotel room in her "dainties." Laura is floored. When Tony talks about keeping calm about it this time Laura asks, "What about next time?" but immediately apologizes. Lucky questions Luke about how to approach Bobbie since he knows and she knows he knows and feels weird just thinking about it. Luke's advice is to treat her like Lucky has always treated her. Sonny and Lily arrive. Sonny has an advance copy of THE video for Ruby but it seems both Miguel and Brenda already have given her copies. Lucky grabs the video. They all stop talking as Laura and Tony arrive. Sonny's surprised Laura is there. As the Spencers and family celebrate Ruby's birthday Lucky comments how nice it is to have everyone together and that even his dad is happy. Luke's mutters, "It doesn't matter." Ruby tells everyone her wish, that in another year her family will have gotten its act together. That spurs Laura to pull Luke aside. She wants to know what Luke meant by "It doesn't matter." Luke is willing to talk but only after Ruby is gone. 10/13 Sonny tells Luke that he dreads going to Stone's party because of the L&B contingent. What with Brenda and Miguel crawling all over each other and Lois being mad at him, Sonny would rather stay home. Lily comes in and announces she's not going to the party either; too many bad vibes. This makes Sonny more pissed off and he vows to make trouble with Ned. Robin and Stone are surprised at the party. Stone is given his memory book and people read their letters aloud. Stone starts by reading Miguel’s letter, then Lucky reads his, Felicia, Ned, Lucy reads a poem from Sigmund, then Luke reads his. Lucky whines to Luke that Laura should be at the party. Ned and Brenda start to horse around a bit. Sonny, who is irked by their behavior, won't stay away and asks Brenda if she's "spreading the wealth around?" Ned and Sonny both trade punches. 10/17 Sonny walks into Luke's office in a great mood. Luke asks him what's up, and tells him to remember it's a blues club, after all. Sonny gloats about his big trip and his plans for New York. When he mentions that he'd told his partners that he's bringing Lily, Mike pipes up and calls him a "total jackass." Mike tells Sonny that "even you don't need the kind of trouble you're making." Already he's made Brenda miserable, and now it seems he's going to make Lily miserable too. Sonny says he doesn't care what Mike thinks; Mike repeats the whole litany of Sonny's complaints about how Mike abandoned Sonny and his mother to the bad guys who are now Sonny's good buddies. Luke breaks up their quarrel and tells Mike to deal with the liquor delivery. Sonny tells Luke to can Mike now! Luke asks Sonny, "You're ordering me to fire Mike?" "Yeah, today. Preferably in the next five minutes." Luke refuses, saying everybody, including the paying customers, likes Mike and gets along with him, so maybe Sonny better examine what his own problem with Mike is all about. Sonny says okay, but Mike should stay out of Sonny's business. Luke asks him about Lily, and Sonny says "she's smart, savvy, doesn't whine and is beautiful" and he has "a lot of reasons to take good care of her." 10/19 Luke arrives at GH after Stone has been hospitalized and he and Robin talk. She understands how Mac must feel. When Stone bled on him, she was mad at Stone for putting Mac in danger. She's worrying about Mac. Luke sees Alan and asks if he's made any quick trips to New York recently. They chat about Emily. 10/24 Mike asks Luke for advice but Luke quickly backs off, pointing out his shingle is down. He is shocked when he turns around and see Lucky arriving. He immediately asks what's wrong and Lucky says everything. Luke is very angry that Lucky has broken the rules for no good reason. Lucky and Luke than basically fight about the family situation. 10/25 Luke is surprised by Laura's visit to the club. She wants to know why Luke was dropping Lucky off past midnight the night before, especially since she hadn't even known Lucky had left. Lucky won't tell her what happened. She hopes Luke will. All Luke will say is that Lucky was freaked out that Luke was abandoning her and the kids. When he won't say more claiming father/son confidentiality Laura seems to flirt with him to get Luke to reveal what he told Lucky. She can't believe Luke wonders if she misses him. Laura's off to a school conference with Lucky's teachers and turns down Luke's offer to accompany her. Emily and Lucky come in from teaching Raoul his new trick. Lucky can see Emily is really down. It's about the adoption. When he suggests she talk with Lois, Emily responds with a big no. Emily thinks maybe she should get out of there. 10/26 Emily, Lucky and Raoul are in the Quartermaine den, and Raoul has mastered the "give me your paw" trick, but that's all he knows. Lucky demonstrates a backward somersault to encourage the dog to roll over, and Raoul couldn't be more bored, but Emily laughs. She misses her Mom, they used to laugh all the time. She asks Lucky if his parents ever had affairs? He says no, they find other things to fight about. Emily wonders what to tell the social worker. Monica overhears her wondering what it would be like to be a ward of the court. "Do they still have orphanages?" She would miss Raoul and Lucky. Lucky starts off home and Monica smiles in, inviting him to dinner. No, he's the man of the house and is needed at home. He tells Emily that Raoul likes it when she laughs. He leaves, with Monica and Emily looking at each other. Laura has Mary Mae over at the house. Lucky comes in and gets told not to spoil his supper, it's pot roast. He tells her he gave up salmon at the Quartermaines. Mae offers Laura the job with the Charles Street Foundation. Laura is trying to figure out how to juggle it with school and kids, and she'll need to talk about it with Luke. Lucky is eavesdropping and looks worried. He talks to Mary Mae when Laura's out of the room. Mary Mae sees "manhood peeking through the gates of adolescence." 10/27 Lucky and Emily make plans to blow Port Chuck and hit the road in search of Emily's aunt Cory. Lucky has an ulterior motive, though. He thinks that if he "runs away from home", then Luke and Laura will reunite on a road trip when they come to find him. The more time they spend together the more time they'll have to work stuff out. He gets some private-eye tips from Mac about how to find missing people. Lucy blows in to Luke's Club in search of a friendly shoulder to cry on. She pours out her tale of woe to Mike and Luke, about Kevin and Mac and their plan to expose Madame Maia. They are NOT overly sympathetic. 10/30 Lucky and Emily talk about their cash and credit situation for when they hit the road. Lucky tells her that he has a fake idea and a credit card to match. Emily skips out to the patio to continue her talk with Lucky. They make up a list of the stuff they'll need to take with them, flashlights, towels, camping kind of stuff. Lucky calls Sly. He won't give details but tells him he's taking off. Sly eventually coaxes the plan out of Lucky about him running away with Emily but Lucky won't divulge where they're headed. 10/31 Emily and Lucky arrive at Felicia’s party dressed as hobos and Maxy goes goo-goo eyes over him. Emily and Lucky make their plans for the Boston escapade, leaving that night. The kids stop by Luke’s and tell him a tale of them signing up for a cleanup crew early at school the next morning, claiming a sudden surge of school spirit. Luke seems suspicious. Lucky continues that he has soccer practice after school. 11/1 Sonny fills Luke in on Stone’s release from the hospital, and his diagnosis (he has six weeks to live). Emily and Lucky, stop by Luke’s. Lucky has to talk to Luke about Laura. Seems Lucky wants to make sure Luke knows he's leaving early for school in the am to help with party cleanup and that he has soccer practice after school. All in case Lucky doesn't see his mother to tell her himself. Lucky congratulates himself on the way out for having laid the trap. Yes, Luke is suspicious of Lucky's actions and his sudden rush of school spirit. Mike laughs that if Lucky wasn’t up to something that he wouldn’t be Luke’s kid. Luke says that doesn’t give him any peace of mind. At the Quartermaine mansion, Emily and Lucky enter to make an appearance before "going up to bed." They interrupt Ned, Edward and Lois for just a moment but Emily isn't even out of the room before they are back to their argument. Lucky waits outside and is almost found out when Edward is later getting prepared to take Annabelle on her nightly constitutional. Annabelle sniffs around Foster and Lucky but is pulled away by Edward. Emily has changed and gathered up her gear so the duo is off the Spencer house for Lucky to change and gather his gear. He hopes he doesn't run into Laura. While Emily cools her heels outside, Lucky encounters Laura who has been waiting up for him. She wants details of Maxie's party. Lucky reluctantly answers her questions and then tells Laura about the school cleanup and soccer. She's prepared to not see him until after school. Lucky gathers his stuff, says goodbye to Foster and then he and Emily are off to the bus. Once aboard Emily reveals it's her first time on a bus at night, but it's not the first for Lucky. However, it will be his first visit to Boston and so the adventure begins. 11/2 On the bus to Boston, Emily has been dozing on Lucky's shoulder, and when she wakes up they have just passed Newton and should be in Boston in about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Luke is fretting, the kid has been acting oddly and he knows something is up. Laura is reading and re-reading the note Lucky left and musing at Foster, that she is also wonder about what Lucky is up to. Foster barks at her trying to tell her something is up. Somehow she just doesn't picture Lucky, of all people, on a cleanup crew. The phone rings, and it's Luke, sharing his suspicions. They agree to meet for dinner and see if Lucky will open up. Lucky figures Luke and Laura won't track them to a great hotel, but he's built in enough slack that they will catch up eventually. Emily reacts, "Phony names and fake credit cards. This is really weird." Lucky runs through their fake identities and the story, and since "mom" is supposed to be a concert pianist, Emily thinks they should research Brahms' Piano Concerto #1. Laura, still pondering Lucky's note, which she doesn't regard as a sign of anything but weirdness, checks the closet for the emergency backpack. It's missing. She calls Luke. Calls the school and calls Sly. Sly knows nothing, except that Emily is with Lucky. Luke and Laura head off to the Quartermaines, and Monica is in shock at the news. Lucky and Emily check into the hotel. The clerk is dubious till they start in on Brahms, which he loves. Lucky keeps talking fast, so fast that when he gets to his fake report card Emily kicks him. In the suite, Emily says, "I am so lucky you're helping me." They check the room service menu and Emily is shocked at the prices. Lucky has her call, and she successfully negotiates the order, only muffing her name a little. They plan to hit the DMV and the colleges. 11/3 Luke and Laura confer with Monica and Alan about the truant teens. Ned comes in and says he may have a clue as to their whereabouts. Next, Luke, Monica, and Laura arrive at the Outback to ask Mac about Lucky. Mac tells them that Lucky hired him for one hour of consultation to find his friend’s aunt. When Luke asks what he told Lucky, Mac balks at breaking a client's confidentiality. After Luke spells out the situation to Mac, he tells them they were probably headed for Boston to find Emily's aunt. Monica is worried, but Laura and Luke assure her the kids will be fine, and they say they'll go track them down themselves without police involvement for now. Lucky and Emily wait in seemingly endless lines at the motor vehicle department. As Emily fakes being sick, Lucky talks his way to the head of the line, but once there they need Emily's aunt's SSN, so it's a dead end. 11/6 At the university's registration office, Emily and Lucky find out that Corinne Gibbons was accepted into the class of 1990, but she didn't graduate. After her freshman year, she transferred. The registration attendant tells Emily & Lucky that Corinne transferred to the University of Albuquerque and gives them her forwarding address. After the kids leave, another registration worker comes by and says, "Do you remember the Gibbons scandal?" The attendant replies, "Who could forget a nasty business like that." In their hotel suite, Lucky makes plane reservations for Ken & Barbara. He leaves a not-so-obvious clue for Luke to find indicating they're headed to Albuquerque, then leaves false trail by reserving a limo, indicating they may be headed elsewhere. Luke and Laura wing their way to Boston on the ELQ jet. They try to anticipate where Lucky would choose to stay. Laura starts rummaging through her Bag of Tricks, pulling out items such as a hammer, a flame-thrower, and wouldn't you know it, a traveler's guide to Boston. Laura and Luke decide Lucky would've chosen the most expensive hotel with 24-hour room service. Luke reminds her that Lucky's objective is to put his mom and dad together, for as long as possible, in hopes of a reconciliation. In Lucky's hotel room, Luke & Laura search for clues. The bath mat is still wet so they're not far behind the kids. Laura checks for etchings on the note pad Lucky left and gets the flight number to Albuquerque. Luke calls and finds out they reserved a limo to the south station. Luke & Laura are on the ELQ jet to Albuquerque. Luke figures Lucky is still two steps ahead of them, and he's darn proud of his son. Laura is rummaging thru the bag looking for a bone for Foster. She finds all sorts of stuff as Luke looks on, holding some of the items. She tells Luke she is worried about whether they are doing the correct thing. Luke insists that Lucky will follow Rule #7 “Shortest way between two points” and go to New Mexico via plane. As for taking detours, Lucky wouldn't do that since it might require bringing in the cops and upsetting his plans of having L&L look for him together. Laura says fine. Luke then demurs and says they might be making a big mistake. What mistake? Laura wants to know. Luke ponders that the clue Lucky left was too obvious. Laura vents that she said that and Lucky might be in the back of a train going who-knows-where and other hypothesis. She stops suddenly and states she needs an aspirin. She goes rummaging again. Luke says she misunderstood his point. Lucky wants the chase to last as long as possible, not making it too hard or too easy. Laura continues rummaging. Luke says remember Rule #1 “Never do the obvious”. Laura grabs his arm and snaps at him and says get to the point. Luke feels that Lucky got off Chicago when the plane laid over and left a clue there. Laura starts rubbing her temples, Luke tells the captain of the change of plans. In Chicago, they get to a clerk and ask about the kids. He doesn't remember them. They ask to look at the manifests. When he refuses, Laura (who still hasn't gotten aspirin) puts on the pressure by telling the clerk she will make a scene and start nagging him, which she does quite literally. The clerk gives in, but the kids aren't on any of the manifests. L&L realize that Lucky took Rule #6 “Rules are meant to be broken”. Laura says with great mannerism, “I never liked that rule Luke.” They figure the kids went to Albuequrque. Back on the plane, Luke asks if Laura is frightened that she was has gotten back in the groove so easily. They talk about how it is a little bit like old times. Except this time they are chasing and doing it it style. Luke says he will thank Lucky for going off with a moneyed girl. Luke asks if Laura could get used to this. She says no, she wants her nice little home and family. Luke asks what is included in family. She says Lucky, Leslu and of course, Foster. He asks 'anyone else?' She says Amy, Lucas, Tony, Ruby and Bobbie, maybe. They chuckle together. The kids are on a plane about to land in Alberquque. Emily is going up a tree and is very worried that there will be a posse waiting for them. Lucky tells her to relax and explains his reasonings. He assures her that he is a couple of steps ahead of his parents (his term for Rule #1 is always do the unexpected). She is still worried and is wondering where they will be staying. He tells her at a cheap motel since, "We've got our parents thinking we are going to do the expected, which is actually the unexpected" staying at an expensive hotel again. Emily catches on that they will be doing the expected. 11/8 Luke calls Monica from Albuquerque and explains the Chicago stop and the expected/unexpected travels of Lucky and Emily. Unfortunately Emily and Lucky aren't at the most expensive hotel in Albuquerque as he and Laura expected (Luke and Laura are) but in the morning they'll be hot on the youngsters trail. Also there is no Cory Gibbons in the phone book. He'll keep Monica informed. 11/9 Lucky and Emily are at a diner for breakfast. She thought the pillows were rotten and prefers the platinum card life. She's thinking about checking out and refers to Lucky's plans as "convoluted", a word which stops him for a moment. She explains "it's an Alan word." Lucky explains that they will camp out. They will check out their gear and then look at Heseltine Street. Emily says she doesn't miss Monica and Alan, but she does miss Raoul. Luke is on the phone to the registrar at the Boston University, who gives him Corey's Albuquerque address. Lucky and Emily have already arrived there. They are greeted by the landlady, who eventually tells them Corey moved out owing her $200 and everyone else a lot of money as well. Lucky drops a hint about Pasadena, but later explains to Emily that this is just to give them a couple of days while they figure out what to do next. Emily is quite discouraged. Luke turns up at the house shortly thereafter and the landlady is equally "helpful" to him, though she does remember to mention Pasadena before slamming the door in his face. 11/10 Luke and Laura, hot on Lucky's trail seem to be getting along better than ever. But the parents don't know whether or not to pursue Lucky's (fake) lead to Pasadena. Eventually they decide that since they've got the Quartermaine jet they can zip to Pasadena, nose around, and be back in a few hours. On the jet, they talk about how hard it is living apart. Laura gets a premonition that something is wrong and they order the pilot to do a 180 and head back to New Mexico. Meanwhile, the kids have camped overnight in the desert. They spent the morning moosing around and now it's started to rain hard. They find a cave for shelter. Lucky stashes Emily in the cave and runs back to collect their camping gear. While he's gone, the rain has loosened dirt and rocks and a landslide covers the cave entrance except for a small opening at the top. Emily, trapped inside, starts screaming like a train whistle. Lucky starts to dig the dirt and debris off the top of the pile to free her but a large rock tumbles down from the hill above and hits him a glancing blow to the head. He falls to the ground and lies still. Emily continues to scream from inside the cave. 11/13 In the desert outside Albuquerque, that snake slithers closer and closer to Emily. Lucky wakes up in the nick of time, but it looks like he's outside a cave and she's trapped inside. He tries to move the rocks blocking the entrance while she screams in terror. Lucky continues pulling the huge boulders away from the cave entrance. The snake has finally made its way to what looks like Emily's ankle and she's decided she has to kill it before it kills her. Emily picks up a rock and throws it at the snake. The snake jumps and she faints. Lucky moves the last of the rubber rocks and frees Emily from the cave. She's not bitten and the snake is dead. She's still in a bit of shock. She starts getting a little hysterical about what could've happened, but Lucky calms her down. 11/14 Laura figures that Lucky must have run out his money and must be using another source. She and Luke brainstorm and figure Lucky stole Luke's emergency persona. 11/15 Lucky and Emily have returned to Port Charles and the Spencer house. Lucky has figured out his parents took off in a hurry and that no one is home. He also figures he and Emily are safe for some time while his parents are off to Pasadena. Emily doesn't know what to do now that they've hit a dead end. Lucky speculates that maybe it was supposed to happen that way and not finding her aunt is a message. Emily tries to take a nap but has no luck sleeping. Over Tuna sandwiches, they discuss her options. She really doesn't want to go back to the Quartermaines but can't see herself telling them she can't find her aunt, no one else wants her and that she has no place else to go. However, Emily also recalls the time when she was in the cave with the snake. First she was wanting her mother, then wishing Alan had been there to protect her. Faced with possible death, she also thought of Monica and wanted to make up with Monica before she (Emily) died. 11/16 Emily and Lucky are at the Spencer's house. Lucky is making pancakes and a mess, simultaneously, but needs milk. He goes off and Emily looks at the TV. She sees the news about Alan being in the hospital, leaves a note, and heads off. When Lucky returns he sees the note, and then he sees Foster. Oh, no, they've come back early. He hides while Luke and Laura come in. They spot the mess, but no Lucky, till they see Foster with his nose stuck on the closet door, Aha. So they stage a fight about the caper till Lucky can't stand it any more and comes out yelling "STOP IT!" "Gotcha!" says his Dad. There's a lot of talk about the trip, Luke points out that this was NOT a life or death situation. Luke does admit that things are better between him and Laura than they have been in a long time. Lucky says this couldn’t have happened on a more perfect day! Luke and Laura are puzzled until Lucky points out it is their anniversary. Dvd #10B 11/17 Lucky chides Luke and Laura about their lack of enthusiasm despite the fact it's their anniversary. He tries to tell them how he feels and wants them together again even if they fight. Laura tells Luke she loved being with him all week and gives him a poignant little speech about how she feels safe in his arms and how she wants him to come home. "For how long?" he replies. Luke points out to Laura that they still have a basic disagreement over what is dangerous for the kids, his being there or not. He insists that she be absolutely sure of her decision about him before he returns. She tells him she now agrees with him, except, of course, about Sonny. Luke and Laura slow dance to the strains of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow." 11/20 Laura's cooking eggs and humming. Lucky and Foster come in to the kitchen, and Lucky breaks out in a big smile. "Wipe that grin off your face, buster," she teases him. "I heard dad singing that same song in the shower this morning!" another sign of his parent’s reconciliation. Luke joins them and says, "Let our number one son draw his own conclusions". Looking down at the frying pan, "We all died and went to cholesterol heaven. Lay that heart attack on me!" Laura is bustling about, and says she has no time to mess around, she to work on a psych paper. "Cook, scholar. and she doesn't even talk about her real talents," Luke teases. Father and son tell her to settle down, she's forgotten how to delegate. Luke feeds Lesley Lu, and even agrees to do some laundry. "You'll have enough on your hand with that new job," Lucky says. "New job?" Luke asks. Laura tells him she was invited to become the director of the Charles Street Foundation, and that she was very flattered, but it's not gonna happen. She's too busy with school, the Ward house, and Lesley Lu needs her mommy. The men pipe up that Lulu has a daddy and big brother, too. They assure her they can manage things around the house, and so can Mary Mae do without her. When she says that Foundation needs her full attention, Luke says, "a quarter of your attention is worth triple overtime for anyone else." "Are you telling me what to do?" she asks, mock incensed. "No, I'm telling you what you want to do." Then Lucy explains how she snaps the rubber bands on her wrist every time she's tempted to blab about her secrets. Luke tells her that he thinks he knows the secret she's keeping about two people they know and hold so dear. He promises she'll be very sorry if she spills the beans, that he will personally put a rope around her neck and drop her over the Port Charles bridge until her eyes pop out and she never says anything again. Maia strolls in and says she was "drawn" to Luke's. Laura's afraid of spreading herself too thin, but Luke asks her if her heart flutters when she imagines directing the foundation. She admits that it does. And doesn't she want to get in Damian's face? Yeah. "Well, the foundation wants you, and Justus wants you, unless you're thinking this is only a trial reunion. If you can trust this, we can do anything." Laura assures him this is what she wants, and she hopes it's what he wants too. Lucky pipes up, "I'm okay with this if that counts." "Of course it counts," his mom responds. "I'll do my part. I'll come home from school and take care of Lesley Lu and do the shopping." Luke adds that Mike can take care of the club during the day, "plus I have a lot of catching up to do with my daughter." The men promise to take care of the house and the cooking, "Basic hygiene will prevail." Laura wonders when she'll every get to see her husband if she says yes. "Sounds like you already did (say yes) to more than the job. We can do it, baby, we can do it," he says, and they hug. Luke and Laura are smooching at the kitchen table when Lucky bounds in "We're gonna have Christmas together!" He's thrilled. Laura tells him not to miss his bus. He wishes her good luck with the psych paper, punches his dad lightly on the shoulder, and says, "keep it up dad." "How long have you been talking like a parent?" "I took your place for a while, dad, but you can have it back," Lucky says and exits. Laura says, "He's so happy! So am I." "Don't rush to judgement now," Luke warns. "Oh, I think I took my sweet time getting here, don't you think? Why does it seem so easy now?" "No comment," he says, as he kisses his wife's lips, neck, forehead, etc. "What do you mean, no comment?" The couple start to banter, and he says he might have to demonstrate his youthful stamina, but she pushes him away before he puts another hickey on her neck. "Just rest up til I get home," she says, and rushes off. "Nice to be taken for granted again," Luke says to the air. "Nice to be home, Foster." The dog barks in agreement. Luke walks into the club, Sonny tells him that Stone is slipping away. Luke tells him it's a long story, but he fills him in that he's moving back home, and Sonny's delighted. Sonny shares that Stone made Robin get tested again, and she's HIV positive. Luke closes his eyes. 11/21 Luke is rocked by the news. Mac stops by the club. He tells Luke that he is going to bring Damian down with some information he's uncovered, but Mac needs to cover the source by having a third party come forward with it. Luke realizes he's that third party. Knowing all the trouble Damian has caused to those near and dear to him, Luke is happy to accept the job. Laura arrives at Sonny’s penthouse for Stone’s early Christmas party. She hands Stone her special Christmas angel, telling him that she's giving it to him to keep Stone safe. As Luke puts it on top of the tree, everyone starts to sing "Silent Night." 11/22 Luke arrives to see Stone. Lucky will be along later but Laura is caught up in her term paper. Luke came early to talk. Luke and Robin discuss her test results. He remarks she is a Scorpio and her family manages to take bad situations and turn them around. Robin talks of thinking about her parents and Luke reminds her of his promise to be there for her. He's not going anywhere. Robin heads off to help Stone get ready and as soon as she's gone Robert appears to Luke. Luke will do anything for Robin and wonders if he should break a cardinal rule and try to see a lesson in all this. Luke always thought he could protect his loved ones but Robert tells Luke that all Robin needs is a friend, as he puts his arm on Luke's shoulder. 11/27 Luke gets to the Outback and gives Mac the account statements. Mac tells him that it'd be best for him to visit Stone tonight, since he may not make it through another night. 11/29 Stone dies. Mac picks up the phone and calls Luke. Before Mac can tell him the news, Robin asks to talk to Luke herself. Luke's reminds her of his promise and calls her "Luv" just like her dad. At the Spencer's, Luke wanders from the kitchen to the dining room and Lucky comes downstairs. Luke gives Lucky the news that Stone is gone. Lucky wants to know where Stone is now but Luke has no answers. Lucky then speculates about a higher being, that despite all the problems in the world there does seem to him to be some order. Lucky tries to make sense of it all but still doesn't know what to think about where Stone is. All Luke can come up with is that Stone is in their hearts. 11/30 Mac asks Luke to meet him at the Outback. He tells Luke about tracing Sonny’s financial connection to Damian Smith. 12/1 Stone’s Memorial Service. Luke and Sonny discussed Sonny's connected to Damian Smith. Even though they agreed to remain buddies, Luke told him he couldn't trust Sonny again. 12/6 Sonny returns to Luke’s where he confronts Luke about passing on the safe deposit box information. Luke denies it of course as Sonny lets Luke know that the information in the box will do as much damage to Sonny if not more that it will to Damian. Sonny wants whoever is passing along the information stopped and it's up to Luke since it's Luke's reputation that is being trashed. Luke heads on over to the Scorpio house and wants to know how Luke is getting credit for the latest PCPD information on Damian and Sonny. Mac tries to explain he had no idea what was in the box, he was just going after Damian. They remind each other to look at their choice of partner (Sonny) and friends (Katherine). Luke warns Mac not to use his name or even let the appearance be that he's the one passing along information about Damian to the PCPD. Luke suggests Mac think of what Robin will think when she finds out about Mac's role in bringing down Sonny as he heads out the door. Mac talks to himself as he says he has thought of it. Yes, indeed, the next scene is Lucy! 12/8 Luke asked Lucy to buy Sonny's share of Luke's Club. She agreed to the buyout then worried what Doc Kevin would say. He was Mr. Mellow when he heard the news and told Justus, Luke, Sonny and Mike that he has learned his lesson when it comes to what Lucy wants, go with the flow! 12/12 A women walks into Luke’s, drawing Mike's attention. She presents Luke with her impecable resume. When Mike controls his panting, he strongly urges Luke's hiring her. Luke asks her to pronounce her name? He asks what they are supposed to call her and she says "Babe". Lucy passes her on her way in and inquires. Lucy doesn't understand why she wasn't consulted and doesn't understand the concept of quiet partner. She then proceeds to drive Luke nuts with her inane ideas for the place. Luke warns her not to push things and that everything has to paid for up front, including her party. Lucy is not pleased. 12/14 Mike is babysitting Lulu at the club and Luke comes in. He had trouble putting up the portacrib. Mike says this is a Y-chromosome thing. Sonny comes in and is amazed to see Mike with the baby. Luke suggests that Sonny should drop a couple of grandchildren on Mike. Sonny is waiting for the other shoe to drop. Lucky is playing cards with Mike to recoup some of what he spent on the trip. He has Sonny pick a card, and he knows what it is, even when Sonny gives him his own deck. Lily comes in and speaks Spanish to Lucky, who seems to remember that he has homework, and leaves. Lucy comes to check that the party is ready. Mike and Luke tease her a bit, but no, there's enough food to feed an army till Tuesday. Sonny only has $ 3mil that is untouched by RICO seizure. Lawyer argues that since Sonny can't go anywhere anyway, what with assets frozen. He pleads for lowering bail to $3 mil and that Sonny has no way to get the rest. Judge says, "Then your client has the courts condolences" and sets bail at $5 mil. Luke and Mike go back to the restaurant where Mike bemoans Sonny’s fate. Mike has done some reading and is chock full of info about RICO, etc. Justus comes by to hide out from the maddening crowd of politicos and reporters. Luke asks if Justus is angry about getting involved and Justus says no. Justus does say that things look very bleak for Sonny. 12/20 Luke answers the phone at the bar. It's Sonny. He's out! Sonny tells him that an anonymous champion sprung him, and he's going to meet with him shortly. Luke warns him to watch his back. Lucy arrives, still bummed about having her party ruined. The thought of Sonny in jail didn't help matters, but finding out Sonny's out on bail cheers her a bit. Lucy tells Luke that Kevin helped her through last night's disappointment. Luke thinks that it's awful handy to have a live-in shrink. Lucy points out that technically she and Kevin don't live together; they had a ceremonial key exchange, so they're avoiding the larger commitment issue. Lucy's ready to file a complaint with the PCPD about their pattern of harassment. First her duck, then arresting Sonny. Luke knows he'll regret it, but he asks anyway, harassing the duck? Brenda arrives, asking if there's been any word from Sonny. When she learns he is out on bail, Brenda can't imagine who would have put up the money. Luke tells her that Sonny's getting ready to meet with the person. Brenda's ranting a bit, surely Luke has some idea about who the benefactor might be. Luke tells her to drop it; her nosiness has gotten her and Sonny in trouble too many times before. 12/21 Luke is at the bar when Sonny comes in. Mike and Luke try to put her off and tell her not to ask questions. Mike mentions that Sonny spent the night at his place. Luke is pleasantly surprised. She tells them that Sonny loves her and persists in asking what is going on. Luke says they should just sit tight, be glad that he is out of prison and let Sonny make his moves.
Sonnny arrives at LUKEs. Mike greets him with a "Hi roomie". Sonny advises, "Don't push it". He tells Luke that Damian thinks that Sonny will bail out on him. Luke sees nothing wrong with that, but Sonny says that is not his style. Luke than tells him another problem has arisen, Brenda. Sonny is very unhappy. Brenda comes in. Her and Sonny talk but he can't get through to her. He finally tells her to just stay away from him and leaves. She turns to Luke who tells her to respect Sonny's wishes. 12/27 Lucky is at home, practicing reading marked cards. Luke wanders downstairs and corrects one of Lucky's calls from nearly across the room. Emily and Raoul arrive, and Luke takes the opportunity to charm the daylights out of Emily, even taking her perceptive remark, "You guys are so weird", to be "grand praise from the high-rent district of town." Emily invites Lucky to go tobogganing. He suggests playing cards as well, but she explains that she is pretty much broke, having already lost her allowance to him. After Emily and Raoul depart, Luke grills Lucky, finding out that Lucky has been cleaning up at the card table at the expense of his best pals. Luke explains that Lucky shouldn't do that, not because it's wrong, but because you want to know your friends will be there for you when you need them, and so it's probably not good to hustle them. Conning a mark is a different matter, and Lucky should feel free to go wild. Luke asks Lucky how much money he won from the pre-teen crowd and initiating a triumphant hand-slap at the answer. Sonny arrives and asks for some help. He's still locked out of the penthouse, and he wants to break in to retrieve Stone's ashes. Luke and Lucky are charmed by the idea, and the Ash Retrieval Gang sallies forth. Lucky stands guard and cleverly draws off the building manager when he approaches. Luke works on picking the lock while Sonny tells him it will never work and just then the door finally opens. Luke and Sonny arrive at the Scorpio’s to deliver the wooden box containing Stone's ashes to Robin. They explain their search and rescue mission, and Robin is deeply relieved to have the ashes for safekeeping. Sonny reminds her that when she is ready, she needs to decide what to do with them. Sonny and Luke depart, and the episode's final scene is a series of Stone/Robin flashbacks, accompanied by Janis Ian's "When Angels Cry". The episode ends in heartbreaking silence as Robin, sitting alone on the floor in front of her uncle's Christmas tree, clasps the box in her arms, rests her head on its lid, and cries. 12/29 Mike questions Luke about Sonny's grand jury results, but Luke plays dumb. Sonny pops in and tells Luke the grand jury failed to indict him. Sonny and Luke discuss Sonny's deal with Rivera [to marry Lily in return for his freedom]. After he hears Laura was up with Lulu at 5 am but Luke wasn't. Luke tries to reassure Lucky. Luke's not going anywhere and Lucky can make book on that. Lucky shows Luke the big bucks he won at the Tuesday poker game at the bike shop. Mike arrives all concerned that Lulu is sleeping on the living room floor. All is fine with Luke, he's been able to work for the past hour, trying to sort out the clubs finances, seems he thinks Sonny is mathematically challenged. Mike tries to get Luke to talk about Sonny's situation, especially Sonny's decision to marry Lily since Mike knows Sonny loves Brenda. It's crazy but Luke reminds him that it's about trust and given Sonny's background regarding love it's not surprising. That one hits Mike dead center. When Mike wonders about Sonny's "career" with Rivera as a father-in-law it dawns on him that Sonny made a deal. Luke suggests Mike forget that idea and pursue a different conversation. **The End**
