Gia's P.O.V.

I stand here staring at the elevator doors, waiting for then to open outside Carly's penthouse. I am completely bewildered. I just back from the cottage and Nik had absolutely nothing to say to me. After everything that has happened, after everything that he's done to me, he had nothing to say. I should have listened to my mother from the beginning. I should have given him a piece of my mind. I should have told him how much he hurt me. I should have told him how much he embarrassed me. I should have told him.....I should have told him how much I love him. Just then I hear a ding and the elevator doors open to reveal Johnny.

'Hello Miss Campbell' Johnny said with a smile.

'Hey Johnny' said Gia.

Johnny opens the door and I quietly step into the room, only to find Carly curled up in a little ball in front of the blazing fireplace, with a photo album.

'Hey G. You're back' Carly said. You could hear the relief in her voice. Relief that there was someone back to talk to.

'Yeah, I just had to pick up a couple of things' Gia told Carly, as she sat down beside her and grasped her hand.

'I was just looking at some pictures of me, and Michael.....and Sonny' Carly said with a depressing look on her usually made up face.

'It's okay Car' Gia said reassuringly as she leaned over and the two embraced.

Just then a startling ring interrupted their private moment. Carly slowly stood and made her way over to the smooth marble table on which the phone was sitting. Carly sighed deeply before picking up the phone.

'Hello' Carly said into the receiver' Yeah sure, hold on a second. Gia, it's Nikolas'

Gia was shocked. Why would he be calling me? Gia took the phone from Carly, and quietly spoke.

'Nikolas?' Gia asked.

'Yeah Gia, it's me.' Gia heard Nik's deep voice on the other end of the line. 'I was just calling to see if you wanted to come over to the cottage for dinner with me tonight'

'Nikolas.....' said Gia slowly, glancing over at Carly. 'Nik Carly needs me to stay here with her'

Carly immediately jumped up and snatched the phone from Gia's hand.

'Hold on just a minute Nik' Carly said.

'Carly?!'

'Gia you listen to me. You have been babysitting me for days now, you need to go out.' Carly told her. 'And can you honestly tell me that you're not dying to be with him right now?'

'I do want to be with him Carly, but.........'

'And so you shall! No buts about it!' Carly said forcefully. 'Alright Nik, she'll be there, what time? 8:00? Perfect! Bye!'

'Carly are you sure?' Gia asked concerned for her friend.

'Gia, honey, lets go get you ready for your date with a prince!'

This was the first time Gia had seen Carly smiling in days so she decided she would go. If only she knew what Nikolas what doing............
