'Sonny?' Carly whispered in between sobs. 'Sonny, baby, come on wake up. For me, for Michael, wake up!'

Sonny layed on the hospital bed, his skin pale. Carly watched him, and there was not a single movement on his body. He just layed there, looking so peaceful, as if in a deep dreaming sleep. Suddenly the heavy equipment around Sonny's bedside started to beep and flash, and Dr. Q. along with several nurses rushed in and crowded around his bed, attaching him to equipment and life support machines. All the while Carly was screaming and crying, praying to God to keep him on earth for her. She needed him. The next thing she heard was one long steady beep coming from his heart monitor, as Dr. Q. turned off the machine.

'I'm sorry Carly' said Dr.Q. 'He's gone'

'NO! screamed Carly 'NO, he's not dead! I won't believe it, I won't! Do something!!!'

'I'm sorry Carly, but there's nothing more that medical science can do for him'

With that, Dr. Q. and all the nurses left Carly in the room to grieve over the loss of her husband, Sonny Corinthos.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Ummmm, I....uh.......what?' stuttered Nik.

'Nikolas I almost lost you tonight, I can't risk that happening again. I don't want you to ever doubt what we have, or how I feel about you. I'm just proving my love for you' Gia explained.

She leaned over his bed and slowly brought her lips down to his. Interrupting their kiss, Liz, Lucky, Em and Zander walked in.

'Hello there handsome' said Em with a smile. 'don't you EVER scare us like that again!'

'I'll try not to' said Nik.

'So' said Lucky. 'Really we weren't eavesdropping, we just happened to overhear Gia ask you to marry her Nik.'

Nik laughed, 'Very typical little bro, always listening in on my conversations!'

'So,' said Gia happily, 'we're getting married!'

'HAHA- we're not!' chuckled Liz, giving Lucky a stare cold enough to freeze over hell.

'Umm, Gia....I...' Nik stammered, not quite sure how to say what he wanted to say, 'Gia, I love you, but I can't accept your proposal.'
