Gia paced back and forth in the hospital waiting room, anxiously awaiting results from Dr. Quartermaine. Sitting in the waiting room with her was Lucky, Liz, Emily Zander, and Carly. They were a lot more calm than Gia, but you could see the fear in their eyes. Just when Gia though she couldn't take it anymore, Dr. Q. walked in. Everyone jumped up and ran over to Dr. Q.

'Is he alright?' asked Gia,

'Mom?'

'Well,' said Dr. Q. 'Nik has suffered a broken arm, and head injuries, he has a concussion. The person that collided with Nik is in the same condition'

'Oh  my gosh, I didn't even think about the people in the other car' Gia said with wide eyes.

'Who was in the other car?' asked Lucky.

Dr. Q. took a deep breath and quietly said, 'Sonny Corinthos'

Nik was still unconscious, but there was a vision that kept replaying in his mind. He kept seeing Gia and Lucky kissing, then the bright headlights and crashing of glass and metal. He was watching the love of his life kiss his brother. It was like a dull knife stabbing through his heart. He couldn't think, couldn't speak, couldn't feel anything but the pain of heartbreak. Then the lights and noises brought him crashing back to reality. And for Nik, the reality was that Gia never cared for him. To her it was all a game. A game in which Nik was heartbroken and nobody seemed to care.
