'Hey there Sparky' Nik said, coming in the front door.

'Hey' Gia greeted him with a kiss. 'How was your ride?'

'It was good, yeah, but I like this better' Nik wrapped his arms around Gia's waist as he tenderly kissed her.

'Oooh, me too' Gia whispered between kisses. 'But' as she loosened from his grasp, 'I have work to do'

'Ohhh, come on......' Nik whined.

'Nik, this cake is really important' Gia stated, 'I have to have it done in time for Lucky and Liz's engagement party'

'Oh, alright' said Nik sadly, as he lowered his head.

Just then there was a knock at the door.

'I'll get it' said Nik.

~A Few Seconds Later~

'Hey man!' Nik said, standing before his younger brother Lucky.

'Hey'

'C'mon in' Nik invited.

'Thanks. So how has your day been?' questioned Lucky.

'It's been great, really great. I mean, Gia and I are together, and everything in my life is perfect right now' said Nik happily.

'Yeah, I'm so happy for you guys. It's about time you admitted your feelings for each other' Lucky said.

'Yeah, but now that we have, life could not get any better for me. Hey are you ready for the party?'

'Oh yeah, I'm ready. But Liz is hours away from ready, so I thought I'd come over here and see how you guys were doing'

'Well Gia's in the kitchen baking a cake for tonight' Nik told him.

'It’s great that they're all friends now. I remember just a few months ago, Gia Liz and Emily, were at each other's throats. Now they're all friends. It's great' said Lucky.

'Yeah, I hear ya. I was getting really sick of hearing Gia complain about them non-stop!'

Suddenly there was a loud crash in the kitchen.

Nik dashed to the kitchen to see what happened.

'It's alright, it's okay' said Gia 'I just dropped a pan'

Nik let out a deep sigh of relief as he leaned in and the two shared a kiss. Sensing that this was a private moment, Lucky slipped away into the living room.

Nik and Gia continued to kiss when Nik slowly and gently lowered her delicate body onto the small kitchen table. Gia looked up at him. At his deep brown eyes, surrounded by incredibly thick lashes, were almost hypnotizing. Feeling the warmth of his well built body against hers. She felt safe and secure in his strong arms. It was at that moment Gia knew she had fallen in love with him.

'Is something wrong?' asked Nik.

'No, no nothing's wrong, it's just that I have to finish this cake, and Lucky has seemed to have disappeared' Gia said.

'Oh' said Nik lifting her up off the table, 'well then, why don't' you go find Lucky and I'll finish baking this cake'

'Sounds like a plan' said Gia, giving him a quick tingling kiss as she left the room.

Gia walked into the living room and spotted Lucky plopped down on the couch with a magazine.

'Hey stranger' Gia said as she fell down on the couch beside him. 'Excited about the party tonight?'

'Oh yeah' Lucky said looking slightly uncomfortable. 'So, you and Nik are doing good?'

'Yeah, we're doing great' Gia said with a dreamy look in her eyes.

Without warning, Lucky turned to face Gia, cupped her cheeks in his hands, and kissed her.

'I don't believe this' yelled Nik as he ran outside, slamming the front door behind him.

'Nikolas wait!' screamed Gia, still wondering what had just happened between her and Lucky.

Nik sped down the road in his Jag, hot tears blurring his vision.

'I can't believe she did this to me' he cried, 'I loved her'

The next thing he knew, there were blinding lights directly in front of him. He heard the blaring of horns. The last thing he remembered was the glass crashing in front of him, and everything going black.
