'Oh my god!' Gia whispered under her breath, as she looked up at the man standing before her, Sonny Corinthos. 'Sonny, I thought you were dead. We all did......'

'Hi Gia, nice to see you too.' said Sonny.

'What's going on Sonny, why...how are you alive?' Nik asked.

'That's not important right now. I'm sorry I interrupted your wedding, but it's the only place I was positive Carly, and everyone else would be. Come on Nik, help me get her up' Sonny told him.

Sonny and Nik gently lifted Carly's body off the sand, and laid her across a row of chairs. Sonny knelt down beside her and stroked her face. 'Carly.....Carly, wake up'

Carly's eyes fluttered and she shook her head. When she finally came to, she looked Sonny in the eyes, and became hysterical.

'Oh my god, no...no it's not possible, Sonny what are you doing here? Am I dreaming? Gia? What's going on? Sonny is it really you, you're dead! You can't be here. Gia?' Carly scrambled the words out of her mouth.

'Carly, it's okay.....it's okay.' Gia soothed her.

'Carly. It's me.' Sonny said 'I'm here.'

Tears streamed down Carly's face, bringing most of her eye make-up with them. She slowly sat up and touched Sonny's face.

'Sonny....it's really you......' Carly said quietly.

A smile slowly formed on her face, as she jumped into his arms, crying and screaming.

'Sonny, I love you' Carly told him. She was afraid that he would just disappear again, so she had to tell him she loved him, just in case it was the last opportunity she might have.

'I love you too, honey.' Sonny said into her ear.

Gia grabbed onto Nik's arm. He wrapped himself around her, as he did he felt her whole body shaking. He knew she was terrified. This was alot for one mind to process.

'It's okay Gia, it's okay.' he whispered.

Gia held onto him even tighter. Sobbing into his chest.

'I'm sorry Nik, I'm sorry for crying. It's our wedding day!' said Gia.

'Gia, sweetie. Not to bring you down, but I think everyone is a little preoccupied with the fact that Sonny was pronounced dead, and now 10 months later is back, to notice that you're crying.' Nik told her.

Gia laughed quietly. 'I guess so'

They made their way back over to Sonny and Carly, where Sonny was explaining everything.

'Okay, here we go' Sonny began. 'Well Sorel has been after me for...well..for as long as i can remember, and he's been after Carly and Michael too. I couldn't take it if something happened to them, so I had to do something. When Nik crashed into me, it was Jason's genius mind who came up with an idea to save everyone until Sorel was permanently out of the picture. Jason told Dr. Quartermaine to pronounce me dead. I wasn't really dead though.....obviously.....and I went to a very very private, remote island, where no one could find me. I had Jason stay in Port Charles to look after Carly and Michael, keep them safe, and with money, etc. Anyways, a week ago Mr. Joseph Sorel died of a "heart attack". Of course we had nothing to do with it!!!' Sonny chuckled softly, looking over at Jason, who smiled 'So now that Sorel is gone for good, I don't have to worry about him coming after me or my family.'

Carly looked at him in awe. 'Why didn't you tell me? I could've kept it a secret!! Do you know how many nights I cried myself to sleep, wishing you would come back to me? That was the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life. Sonny I probably would've committed suicide, if it weren't for Gia being with me!'

'I'm here now, aren't I?' Sonny asked.

Carly couldn't help but grin. 'Yes'

'Gia, thank you for taking care of her' Sonny said to Gia.

Gia nodded.

'And by the way Nikolas, I was wondering what exactly made you go off driving like a maniac that night.' Sonny questioned.

'Well' said Nik 'Lets not get into this on our wedding day......'

Everyone but Sonny laughed.

'I'm missing something.' Sonny said with a confused look on his face.

'I'll tell you later, sweetie' Carly said. 'And by the way, we are in the middle of a wedding right now.......'

Nik and Gia looked at each other and smiled.

'Yes we are' said Nik.

In an instant Carly took a small velvet bag out of her purse and started showered them with rice. 'Don't worry' Carly said to Sonny. 'It'll blend in with the sand.'

Sonny looked at her and laughed, 'You're exactly the same as when I left you, you know that?'

'Hey, what can I say, I never change!' said Carly.

Gia and Nik ran down the small carpet set out for them, and hopped into the limo. Once inside Gia swung her legs over Nik's and wrapped her arms around his neck.

'Well Mr. Cassadine, I do believe we're married now' she said with a smile.

'I guess so, Mrs. Cassadine' Nik replied.

Before Gia could say another word, Nik took her mouth in his, and they didn't release from each other's embrace until they were at the airport, on their way to their honeymoon resort.

Once they reached the hotel, Nik swept Gia up in his arms and carried her into their room. They layed on the bed in one another's arms, now as Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine.
