'Alright Gia, lets go!' Carly yelled from the bottom of the stairs. 'The limo's waiting!'
Gia elegantly stepped down the stairs, the tail of her white dress following closely behind.
'Oh god Gia. I can't believe how wonderful you look' Carly gushed 'And you're going to look just gorgeous on the sand, with the sun setting behind you......'
Gia had wanted sheer simple beauty, so her and Nik had decided that they would get married on the beach at sunset, then take off to a private island in the Caribbean for their honeymoon.
Carly started to walk out the door when Gia grabbed her arm.
'Carly', Gia said 'I just wanted to thank you for being here with me and helping me with mine and Nik's wedding day'
'Honey, I'm just returning the favor.' said Carly 'Gia, you were there for me when Sonny died in the accident. I remember our wedding day. The real wedding day, on the island in Martinique. I just want this day to be as special for you as it was for me'
'Oh Carly, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you think of Sonny'
'No, no it's okay. I need to think of him. I'm over his death now, I've accepted it. But i need to remember him. I love him' Carly said 'Now lets go before you're late!'
'Alright'

~At the beach~ 'Oh Nikolas this ceremony is going to be beautiful!' Emily cried, rushing over to him, and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
'I know' said Nik 'I can't wait to be married to Gia'
'Speaking of which....' Lucky said 'Here is her and Carly'
Carly stepped out of the limo, and ran up to Nik. 'Are we ready to start?'
'Yes, everything is set'
'Alright'
Everyone took their seats as the wedding song started to play. The bridesmaids walked down the aisle and took their appointed positions. Just ahead of them was Lulu, who was the flower girl. After everyone had taken their spots, Gia walked down the aisle. She took her steps with grace, focused on the main point, her soon to be husband, Nikolas Cassadine. Nik was speechless as his eyes traveled up and down her body, finally coming to rest and locking with her deep brown eyes. When she reached his side, he took her hand. She felt a charge go up her arm and though her body as he squeezed her hand.
'You ready?'
Gia looked at him and flashed a warm smile. 'I'm ready'
They stepped up as the priest began to speak. 'Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join.......'
Gia was reeling from the intensity in Nik's warm eyes as they shone in the glowing light of the sunset.
'Do you, Nikolas, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?'
Nik looked at Gia. Her beautiful face. He loved every inch of her, and he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life. 'I do'
'And do you, Gia, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, for better for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?'
Gia looked at Nik. At his beautiful face. She loved every inch of him, and she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. 'I do'
'By the power invested in me, i now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride' Nik lifted her veil over her head and lowered his fave to hers as they shared the most powerful kiss, the kiss that commenced the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
Lucky sat in the seat, watching Nik and Gia kiss. Oh god, how he wanted her. But Nik was his brother, and he loved Gia with all of his heart, all he wanted was for the both of them to be happy. So he said nothing. He sat and watched them be wed. As hot tears rolled down his cheeks, he silently grieved for the loss of the woman he loved, to his brother.
During the ceremony no one noticed the man walk onto the beach and take a seat in the back.
Just as Gia and Nik were nearing the end of their wedding kiss Carly collapsed onto the warm sand. They all looked to the back of the beach front, the area in which Carly had directed the comment she said whispered before fainting. She had said one name. A name she had been dying to say to his face for months. Before she collapsed, she said, 'Sonny?'
