Background:
Alex was born on 2352 to William and Herana Swift. Growing up with "The Adventures of Captain Kirk and the Enterprise" as his bedtime stories, he always dreamed of joining Starfleet. Alex pursued that dream after completing high school. With a recommendation from his father's friend and 5 hours of study every night, he was accepted into Starfleet Academy. 4 years had gone by quickly, and the boy that walked onto the campus grounds for the first time left the Academy as a man, and Starfleet Officer. 6 months later, he recieved his first assignment as an Assistant Tactical Officer. As 7 years pass by, Alex finally earned the rank of Commander. Soon after the forming of the Starfleet Tactical Force, he was assigned command of the USS Premonition. After a 2 year tour of duty, he left his command position and took a job as Assistant Commandant of Starfleet Academy and served there a short 6 months before the Civil War erupted. When the Starfleet Tactical Force was reactivated, he was brought back into active duty too. Alexander was promoted to the rank of Fleet Captain and was assigned as Commanding Officer of the fleet flagship.

Personality Profile:
Alex is a very relaxed person. He commands with a laid back attitude when things are going nice and peachy. But when that red alert claxon goes off, he immediately sits up in his command chair and becomes very keen and alert. Because of this, some people accuse him of having disassociate identity disorder, or of having multiple personalities. His betazoid ancestry gives him the ability of telepathy, which he uses a lot to exchange insults with his half sister whenever they're near each other.
