Background:
Mitchell Silvere was born in San Fransisco, California on Earth to Ambasador Lawrence Silvere, and his wife Andrea Silvere. He was the first of three children (both of who were born seven years after him) to be born the the Starfleet Ambasador and his wife. At age four, Mitchell was diagnosed with an acute case of asthema and his body rejected all treatments which were allowed by modern science inside of Starfleet. Andrea Silvere was known to have begged her husband to take Mitchell for genetic altering outside of the Starfleet jurisdiction, but the steadfast Ambassador refused. As a result, Mitchell's early childhood was spent mostly indoors reading and studying, learning about the politics and cultures of other Alien species. Due to the lack of activity, Mitchell's muscles atrophied almost to the point where when he was 9 he could barely stand and was excused from physical education. Due to his unhealthy condition he was the target of bullies in the school yard, the condition got so bad that his parents had no choice but to take him out of schooling at Forge Valley Elementary School.

Ambasador Silvere enrolled Mitchell at the McAlister Academy for Arts and Sciences a boarding school for prospective students of Starfleet's political and scientific community. Here Mitchell took an interest in medicine almost immediately, where he studied similar diseases such as asthema and their interaction with human biology. A grant which was given to the school was a new medical facility, and Dr. Yuri with permission from Mitchell's parents began administering a new medicine to counteract the asthema and the muscle decay. It worked, but not as well as Mitchell had hoped for, it allowed him to become more active, but he still suffered from shortness of breath and other medical issues which arose due to the drug being administered. Mitchell continued his studies in medicine, but also took a great deal of interest in Xenoarcheology, Xenoanthropology, and other Xenological studies. He mentioned on more than one occasion his desire to accompany the professor of Archeology from McAlister's on one of the digs they were conducting on fringe worlds. Mitchell was one of the few students never allowed to go on a trip of any kind, because medical care needed to be close at hand should he have a severe attack.

Towards the end of his traditional schooling, Mitchell became interested in Starfleet, although his teachers told him he would not be accepted due to his medical conditions, they gave him recommendations without pause. At the age of seventeen, Mitchell applied to Starfleet, and was kept waiting for three months, in which time he worked as a engine planner for commercial and private citizen class starships. When he finally heard back from Starfleet it was a letter of appology and a rejection for his application. However there were three other schools which Starfleet had contacted that were very interested in accepting Mitchell with full scholarships.

After the rejection letter, nothing more is known of a four year period in Mitchell's life. The last known expense Mitchell made before returning was on a commercial flight leaving for an alien hub world, when all of his credits were withdrawn.

Mitchell returned four years later, at the age of twenty-one, looking much the same way he did when he left, although he was healthier and stronger, breathing without trouble and carrying nothing more than two bags. His father the Ambasador had him rushed past customs where he was then taken home. Mitchell had grown a fairly thick beard but shaved it off when he returned home and reapplied to Starfleet. This time he reapplied in person, and was accepted immediately. Starfleet medical was interested to find a reason for the drastic change in Mitchell's health, and expected to find traces of genetic engineering, but there were none found.

Mitchell refused to tell his father what he had done while away for four years, and was thus expelled from his father's good graces, however Mitchell had been anxious to leave his father's shadow behind and promised his younger siblings and mother he would visit them.

Upon entering Starfleet Mitchell majored in the sciences and achieved high marks in all of his xenology classes. He continued his study into medicine, and took up more of an interest in the history. Particularly storiology (the study of myths and legends) both terrestrial and xenological in nature. His study of history gave him a rudimentry understanding of military tactics and strategies used during the different periods of war both on earth and in the stars.

After his studying was finished at Starfleet Academy, he was stationed on the Po'Ucan IV Starbase where he continued his study of engineering systems and field studied for his degree in the Sciences. Rumor has it that the commanding officer of Po'Ucan was lenient on the undisciplined Ensign because the commanding officer's daughter was in love with Mitchell, there is evidance to support this since there were several very public reprimands that were never put on record. After being permitted leave from Po'Ucan to visit friends and family, Mitchell returned to the alien hub world and disappeared for two months, during which time the Po'Ucan IV station was destroyed. Mitchell was contacted two months later, recieving a reprimand and being reassigned to the engineering crew of the USS Spectre (NCC-75055) where he served directly under Lt. Commander Zenaida Nur.

The USS Spectre became entangled with confidential intrigues and the whole crew was relieved of duty, pending reassignment, with permission granted by Captain Holliday. Mitchell requested to be reassigned to the front line ship, the USS Avalon (NCC-06742), where he was assigned to the science crew.

During the battle in which the USS Avalon was destroyed over Quo'Nos, Mitchell was rescued by the Commanding Officer, Captain Alexander Hunter of whom Mitchell had spoken with briefly on occasion. The two had similar personality traits and became friends, although being rescued from the bridge and taken to safety only strengthened that friendship. After the USS Avalon was destroyed, Mitchell spent a month and a half in bed rest while a new ship was being re-commissioned with the name "the Avalon." When he was released from the medical bays, Mitchell requested he be recruited on to the new ship bearing the name Avalon, and was, his personel records were transferred over to the STF where he currently serves under the command of Rear Admiral Hunter.

Personality Profile:
Mitchell is known to respect a hierarchy which often is not the same one as that of the command structure. He will always be respectful in the pressence of officers who hold a higher rank than himself, but will often not give them the kind of welcoming they would expect. He was reprimanded several times for this on the Po'Ucan IV starbase. Mitchell has a great deal of interest in alien cultures, especially those of Alien races which have long since passed. He is a dedicated crew member, although very relaxed when it comes to militaristic discipline, and a little oblivious to things not said directly. However his willingness to sacrifice himself for his friends and loved-ones is undeniably strong, it is what keeps him going, and what compliments the rest of his personality as well.

Special Notes:
Mitchell has been known to act strange, unlike himself on occasion, there is no known explanation for this.
