Starfleet Personnel Record

Background:
Born on Starbase 74, someone could say Starfleet was Evets's life. His Father was a Starfleet Captain onboard the USS Excelsior and his mother was Chief Medical Officer of the USS Intrepid. He spent most of his time with his father, who was a devoted linguist who never declined an opportunity to learn new languages. His father taught him most of the languages he knows, and the rest he learned from other crew. He enrolled in the Acadamy with the hopes of following in his father's place commanding a ship someday.

He graduated with top marks from the academy and was disappointed when he could not get a position on his father's ship. Soon after graduation, he was assigned to the USS Galileo as Assistant Operations Officer. He spent 10 years onboard that ship making it up to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and graduating from Command School. In 2367, Evets was notified by his mother--who at the time was promoted to Rear Admiral--that Starfleet had lost contact with his father, who was on a mission in the Beta quadrent. Soon later he learned his father was killed defending a Klingon outpost from Romulan attack. He left Starfleet for 3 years to try to reconfirm his life and see if he truly wished to continue as a Starfleet Officer. He returned to Starbase 74 to spend time with his mother. There, he met his current wife, Samantha. Soon afterward he married. Since she was a Terran, they followed Terran customs and she took his name. They had 3 children together. While on Vacation with his wife and children, the Dominion attacked SB 74. He returned to learn his mother had died, and after 3 years he finally decided that he could not sit by and do nothing while his home was invaded. He returned from his leave and was promoted to the Rank of Commander, assigned to the USS Omega. There he was known to be a hard but fair officer.

Evets was given command of the USS Omega when the current captain retired. Soon after being promoted to the rank of Captain did the Omega come under heavy attack by Jem’hadar. He barely managed to get the ship out of there in one piece, and thanks to his remarkable crew, it was done with minimal casualties. The promotion board noted this as the battle against the Dominion moved toward its final stages. Evets was promoted to the rank of Fleet Captain and was given command of the Gamma fleet. Without giving any notification to the Admiralty, he sent his fleet into what some might have called a suicide mission. Thanks to many spy connections he had, he learned the location of a Dominion shipyard. He ordered his fleet to that location and launched a full out assault, knocking out 1/5 of the Dominion fleet. Once he returned to Starfleet, he was given a severe reprimand for not approaching the Admiralty with this information before taking action. Soon after, though, he was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and given command of Starbase 76. He commanded that until the Federation Civil War erupted, then he was promoted to Vice Admiral.

Personality Profile:
Although a very easy person to get along with, Evets is not a person you want to anger. He expects all those who work with him to give 150% to the goal and not to slack off. When he is not working though he can be extremely fun, and even a joker sometimes, although his jokes are usually bad.
