VI. Lesson Focus
The focus of today's lesson is to
reinforce that God created animals and man on the sixth day of creation. Here are two activities to help
reinforce this. Choose the one that best fits your class of
children. If time permits, you may choose to do both.
“There is a God”
Cut a mountain shape out of green
paper and a blue pond out of blue paper. Glue both of these onto
a blue piece of poster boards to create a simple outdoor scene. You will need the following
plastic animals for the children: pig, duck, cow, bird, horse,
cat, and dog. Make
sure to have enough for each child in your room. Sing the
following song. When
you name a child’s animal, have him/her place the animal on
the story mat.
There is a God who made the
world

And on day 6 He made the (name
of the animal)

“Play dough Creation”
Provide the children with
play dough and let them create their own animal. It can be a real one or
one they make up.
