Q & A

Map of Kazakhstan

Vitaly, Ira, and Anatoly

Our Students' Wedding
Just kidding! Actually, we recently taught a unit on dating and marriage, and a couple of the classes acted out a wedding ceremony for the rest of us. The lucky couple from this class were our friends Kostya and Masha.

The Happy Couple
The wedding was followed up by a panel discussion. Ironically, a typo on the wedding invitations announced it as a penal discussion!

Taking a Break at Our Friday Night Study
As you can see, Mrs. Sees was a big hit with our friends. Thanks, Mom!

Kostya and Valerie

Playing Uno
We always end our Friday night gatherings with some fun and games.

Playing Frisbee
We decided to throw around the old frisbee-skin after our Friday night study recently.

Orthodox Easter
Anatoly, Vitaly, Bob and I went to an Easter service at the Orthodox Church. You can see one of the priests speaking at the front of the church.

Easter Procession
One tradition at the Easter service has a group of priests and laymen walking in a procession around the outside of the church. The sign at the front of the church says Khristos Voskresye - Christ is risen.
