FERRIES FROM PIRAEUS AND FROM OTHER ISLANDS TO THE ISLAND OF HALKI OR CHALKI IN GREECE

Chalki is connected by ferry with several other islands in Greece and TO the port of Piraeus. The travel time from Rhodes is about two hours. Occasionally there is a faster boat that does the trip in one hour and ten minutes. On the journey to Piraeus the ferry makes stops at several other islands, including Karpathos, Kassos, several cities in Crete and the Cyclades islands Anafi, Santorini and Milos. The journey to Piraeus is very long and the boat leaves at midnight (2013) from Halki towards the mainland. The easiest way is to fly to the island of Rhodes, where there is an international airport, and from there make the crossing to Halki. From Halki there are also boat connections to Dodecanese islands like Tilos, Nisyros and Kos. The various ferries have no daily routine, so you should check your trip and the schedules of the ferries well in advance. The schedules of the ferries also change regularly and are different again almost every year.
