cloaking shield out of Kleenex, Silly Putty and a half used box of
Jello pudding!
Xim: Mission completed. But I couldn't find
any kleenex or silly putty, so I just used a bit of mayonnaise.
Actually, I'd say it's more of a sandwich than cloaking device, but
that's just my opinion.

Um, I guess not.. I mean, the Beatles rock. But..
the title's kinda against their beliefs isn't it?
At any
rate, I wouldn't mind, just be sure to bump my topic once in a
while, friend. Especially if your Beatles board gets really popular
and there's lots of posts to make topics purge faster.
Today
I have a killer quote from SuperMECHA. In this post, he was
responding to a guy saying he knew nothing about the game his secret
board is located on, and saying he was going to mark for off-topic
(even though you can't even do that on older
systems):
Man, who's this hater??
Geez, I turn my
back for a week and come back to find that the pencil**** schoolyard
Tattle-talers are invading the Secret Base?? AGH!!
F.Y.I., I
HAVE played it! I OWN it! It IS in Nihongo and it IS on the dull
side, being the fact that it IS a card-type game. So much for
on-topic discussion.
If you would have come to this board
otherwise, you would have found NOTHING AT ALL! Whether my Base is
here or not, you'd still be in the same empty-handed position. Mark
away, in your pimple-faced selfish glee, yearning for your
equivalent of edible liquid golden power tokens (Mark Accuracy). But
in the end, you'd still wouldn't have any tips, AND you'll still be
wondering: "Why does my life have no meaning?"
This is a
Secret Board, son. One of the Oldest on GF's (been around well
before all of these new TOS changes anyway). There are many others
out there, determined lifeless balloon-busting weenies
notwithstanding. Get used to it, and try to enjoy
life. --- ...(¯\/¯)(¯) (¯)_(¯) ...R.I.P.

For I have traveled the GameFAQs boards
high and low, with no sight of Xim, not even a toe. I looked
for him hunting, still not a clue, All I could find was an apple
or two. I went 'round your boards, hoping for a sign, but all
I found was a mayonnaise shrine, a quest in Aurora, and memories
divine.
Still no Xim, sadly to say, I wonder if I will see
you today. Have you been busy, with no time to spare, to post
on GameFAQs, with people who care.
Not to cause alarm, I'm
just wondering why, I haven't seen you around, even if I
try. I guess you've been busy, as I just said, so here's some
mayo, and even some bread.
I felt like a poem, no real
reason why, or maybe it's because I'll have to try to do my
English homework, if you haven't guessed, I have an assignment,
some work- not a test, it's to write a poem, and something
good. But I'm having trouble, I think I misunderstood. My work

"Why do people have to bee so elitist and act

other topics (although the one previously posted was buried way in

whining about it isnt going to make the topic go away. And this user

was lurking on
What happened was, a guy politely asked a
question about a game that's not out yet. He wanted to know if there
was a certain feature in the game, I don't really remember what. In
typical GameFAQs fashion, the regulars on the board acted like

Hey! Don't disrespect all those valiant men that
lost their taste buds in Nam!
Here's an angry diatribe
addressed to Red Maw in response to his inability to understand why
his Inns keep getting modded:
"Yeah. I've tried to be polite
to you in the past, but there's no way you're this
ignorant.
You want to know why your topic keeps getting
deleted by a mod? Well, I don't know for sure, but I can guess well
enough. They're probably just annoyed that you made so many topics
and maintain them for no reason. Board hunting becomes a real
nuisance when seeing the same topic everywhere you go. In fact, your
Inns are one of the reasons I decided not to attempt the Backwards
Journey this year.
It's pretty clear you have way too much
time on your hands, so if you have so much free time, why not bump
the topics that were on the board before yours? Grace's topic here
purged again! I blame you.
If it wasn't for your goddamn
pointless topics speeding up the purge rate on certain boards, a lot
of cooler topics would probably still be around. For instance, a lot
of the boards in my favorites happen to have topics of yours on
them. When I skim through my favs to see if any of the topics are
near purging, all I see is when the last post was posted. But a lot
of the times, your topic would have been posted in last on, say
8/27. But the cool topic that is also on that board was last posted
in on 8/1. Thus, without my realizing it, the good topics are
purging because of your stupid Inns. You feel the need to put the
phrase "Board Hunter" in your topic titles, which lures newer
hunters into posting there instead of topics that might actually
amount to something, lest they not be judged as board hunters.
So, yeah. That's why it was upheld, in my opinion. I didn't
mark you, but now, I kinda wish that I had. Take my advice; if you
make a topic on a board where there already was one, please show a
little respect and bump the one that was there first. It's only
proper etiquette and makes you look like less of an
ass." --- ...(¯\/¯)(¯) (¯)_(¯) ...R.I.P.

I'm just going through my old posts. Lucky,
lucky, I stumbled onto a Xim rant! Anyway, agreed. My post will be
addressed to Red Maw again, though I don't know if he reads
here.
If you feel the need to make that many topics, at least
provide variation in them, that's the single most important thing.
Your topics are just like all the CLAIMED topics. When you get the
first post, it feels like you just hit a brick wall and you just
have to sit and stare, trying to think up something that you didn't
post in the last fifty topics. You seem to be good with bumping your
own topics, and from what I've seen, at least in the earlier inns,
most of the posts you use to bump the topics are different. So it's
obvious that you have at least some creativity. If you used some of
that brain power to think up something other than free food and
lodgings, people might actually look forward to your topics. When I
first started hunting, MI4Real would make unique topics all over the
place. From what I saw they all had interesting titles, and thus got
a lot of on-topic posts, which is rare for topics on secret boards.
And if no one hunted for a while he would bump them, but if people
lost interest he would just let them die. All those topics I
actually looked forward to. Knowing that there aren't really any
good topic makers is really a downer when I'm deciding to hunt
through a system. We've got plenty of board hunters, but what
exactly do we search for? Topics. Without good topics, the entire
purpose is defeated. We don't need better Board Hunters, we need
better Topic Makers.
Whatever, these rants get redundant
after a while... Xim, if you're mad at someone, feel free to tell
them off. None of this "polite" business. Personally, I don't mind
Red Maw's topics. I just browse over a few posts, and if it has too
many O_o's or *passes through*'s I usually just skip the topic all
together. There'll be another one a couple boards later, and that
one might be more interesting. --- \/\/*3* Progress is made by
