Inner Warrior.
The
Inner Warrior was a project of me. We were a group of friends, and made
music in a band or in jam sessions every week. We dreamed about a place
for our selves. This is when I found this location at the
'Scheepmakersstraat', in The Hague. I made a deal with the house owner to
renovate the space, and get a good deal on the rent. I was going to live
here, and organize party's. This was a great success. For one and a half
years, it grew bigger and more famous. It was an illegal club, but with
registering as a foundation, and having party's as fund raising, it was
accepted.
We had trend watchers as our regular guests, and I organized
theme parties with Shamans and the like. The group of friends I gathered
around made every night a magic event. here some pictures:
 Decoration. The name Inner Warrior I got from a book written by Chogyam Trungpa, 'The Shambala Warriors'. A must to read!

MMany friends made the decors. Moos, Roger, Mary, Paula, Ed, etc. The nights with the Shamans were basically included in the entree fee for the party. So many came, before going out of their roof on extacy, get a little taste of a different frequency....

| Unfortunately the sad part of this story, is the betrayal of friends. As I invited my friends in my house, and being part of the organization, two of them thought it a nice place for themselves. Ton Poot, the house owner, and one of my best friends (now no more) Pagalo (alias Frans van Woerkom) managed to move me out. Of course not without a lot of trouble. Still they don't sleep well... |
| Not to say the loss. The 'new' rulers of the house thought it a good idea to paint over Marcus's murals. They are all gone now... |
| Not to mention an atmosphere, who was kicked out of the building. Looking for a new home.... |
