OBITUARY- JOHN M. MARS
"OBITUARY NOTICE- JOHN MARS...John Mars died in the Newark City Hospital, Tuesday, December 31, after a brief illness, following an operation for appendicitis. His home had been at Bellvale, but during the war period he was employed in an airplane factory in Newark, N.J., and had made his home in that city for several months past.
Deceased was born at Florida, this county, August 24, 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Mars. He is survived by his wife, a Miss Youmans, of Bellvale, his parents, who reside at Florida; one sister, Mary M. Stevens, of Elmira, and three brothers, Andrew H. Mars of New York City; Stephen H. Mars of Wingdale, N.Y. and Dr. J.D. Mars, of Florida.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Withey, on January 3 at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel at Warwick cemetery."
