**3 YEARS LATER**
Angel and A.J. were sitting at the bank of the river. They had just gone
and
gotten some take-out food from McDonalds and went to the river to eat. A.J.
had been silent for a few minutes. Concerned, Angel said, "A.J., honey,
what's the matter."
"Well, I was wondering when you'd ask. Nothing's wrong. I just wanted
to wait
until after you were done to give you this," he said, pulling a diamond ring
out of his
pocket. "Angel Marie Donovan, would you please be my wife?" A.J. asked with a
smile on his face as he got down on one knee and held the ring out to her.
"A.J. . . . you know I will!" Angel cried as he hugged her.

Lauren and Brian jumped to their feet, cheering as their team made yet
another
basket. The buzzer sounded, signaling that it was half-time. Suddenly, an
announcer came over the PA system in the arena and said, "Would Mr. Littrell
please come down to the floor?"
"I'll be right back," Brian said as he kissed Lauren on the cheek.
A minute later, Lauren saw Brian standing in the middle of the basketball
court, a
microphone in his hand. A few security guards walked out and stood beside
him.
Brian lifted the microphone to his mouth and said, "Hi everyone. I'm
sure that
you all already know who I am, but if you don't, my name is Brian Littrell..
I am part of a singing group called the Backstreet Boys. The reason that I
am here right now is to ask a favor of all of you. I would like for all of
you to be the witnesses for something that I've never done before and will
never do again. Will you all help me?"
The crowds roared their affirmative answer.
"Well, okay. The next thing that I need to do is to bring a friend down
here from
the audience. Her name is Lauren. Lauren, would you come down here?" Brian
asked as he looked right at her.
Lauren got up and walked down the steps and out across the court to stand
at
Brian's side.
"Okay everyone, here it goes," Brian said to the crowds as he pulled a
tiny black
box from his back pocket. The crowds started screaming when Brian got down
on one knee in front of Lauren and said into the mic, "Lauren Harris, would
you marry me?"
Lauren started to cry as she shook her head and said, "You bet I will."
The
crowds heard this and began screaming their happy approval to the
newly-engaged
couple.

Kevin walked nervously through the door with Jade beside him. She was
taking
him to meet her parents for dinner at a fancy restaurant. Jade's parents
adored Kevin. They were happy that their little girl had found a 'nice,
handsome, loving' man to take care of her.
As they ate their dinner, Kevin quietly looked up at her parents and
said, "May I
ask you both a question?"
"Why, certainly, Kevin. Go ahead," her mother said.
"Well, I would like your blessings to marry your daughter," Kevin said,
turning to
Jade and handing her a ring.
"You definitely have our blessings," her father smiled.
"Jade, will you . . ." Kevin began.
"Of course I will marry you," Jade grinned.

Nick led Amy out onto his boat. She was blindfolded, but that didn't
stop her
from asking Nick, "What are you doing? Where are you taking me?"
"You'll see. Just have a seat and wait a minute."
Nick guided her to a seat at the back of the boat. He then started the
boat and
aimed it toward the middle of the lake. When they got there, he again said,
"Now just wait a minute." As he spoke, he quickly went down into the bottom
of the boat and got his treasure. When he came back, holding the little
black box in his hand, he got down on one knee, opened the box, and held it
where Amy would see it.
"Okay, take off your blindfold," he told her.
Amy reached up and pulled the cloth from her eyes. As soon as she saw
the ring, Nick asked her, "Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"Definitely."

Howie and Rain were sitting on the floor of their living room. Rain had
a pen and
a piece of paper in her hand. Howie was holding the guitar that he had
played when they were camping that weekend 3 years earlier. They were
writing down the words to a love song that Howie had been working on.
"Know what? We need a break," Howie smiled.
"I know. Want some Gummy Bears?" Rain asked as she reached for the tub of
chewy treats that they loved.
"Sure," Howie answered, taking a few from the container.
Rain was putting the container back on the coffee table when Howie began
to
sing as he played the Backstreet Boys' latest single, 'I Want It That Way.'
"You are my fire, my one desire . . ."
"Howie, I love it when you sing to me . . ." Rain smiled.
"Will you marry me?" Howie said, in that singing voice of his that made
Rain
shiver whenever she heard it, as he took a ring from behind his back and
handed it to her.
"Yes I will. You know I will."
