**SPECIAL THANX to my partner-in-crime, my sista Jess for helping me figure
out
what A.J. and Angel were gonna do . . . hehe . . .**
Kevin finished wrapping Rain's feet in the shirts that Howie had given
him and
went to talk to Jade. Howie and Rain watched as Kevin walked over to Jade's
tent (she was sitting out in front of it) and sat down beside her.
"I wonder what those 2 are gonna talk about." Howie said.
"I wonder where A.J. and Angel went." Rain wondered aloud.
**Kevin and Jade's Convo**
"You look tired, Jade."
"I know. I am, but I never could sleep well."
"I could try something that might make you sleepy."
"Like what?"
"Wanna dance?"
"What?"
"Dance. You know, two people standing together, moving back and forth?"
"I know, but I . . . I don't know how to dance."
"Well, I wasn't a ballroom dancing instructor for nothing!"
**Back to story**
Howie and Rain watched, trying to hold in their laughter, as Kevin stood,
took
Jade's hand, and the two of them started dancing slowly around the tent.
Looking at the two of them, Howie smiled, "There's couple number 2."
"Yet another match made in heaven."
"That's for sure. I bet that Nick and Amy are together, making number 3."
"Yep."
"One little question. Where did Angel and A.J. go?"
**A.J. and Angel's Convo**
"A.J, that was a scary story."
"Sorry. I didn't think that ghost stories would scare you."
"Oh well. Know any more?"
"Well, I know this one about this guy and girl in a tent telling ghost
stories . . ."
**Back to story**
Everyone eventually made it back to camp. Not only had Nick asked Amy to
be
his girlfriend, but A.J. and Angel were a couple. So were Lauren and Brian,
Kevin and Jade. Rain didn't know that Howie was planning to ask her to be
his girlfriend in front of everyone, but that's exactly what he was going to
do.
After all of the others had announced their news, Howie cleared his
throat and
said, "I have a question that I want you all to answer honestly for me."
Everybody looked up at him as he continued with saying, "Do you think
that Rain
and I would make a cute couple?"
Smiles quickly spread through the group as Brian raised his hand and
said, "No. I think you two would make the cutest couple!"
Howie then turned to Rain and asked, "Well, would you like to give being
my
girlfriend a try?"
Rain was in a state of shock. Getting her speech ability back, she said
happily,
"Yes! I would be glad to!"
"This is wonderful. Who knew that we would all come up here to camp in
separate groups, and now the groups are all mixed into one!" Lauren said
happily.
"Not quite yet. Guys, can I talk to you all for a minute?" Brian said.
The guys all stood up and went into a huddle. A moment later, Nick said,
"We'll be right back," and before they knew it, the guys ran over to their
camp. Rain, Amy, Angel, Lauren, and Jade watched as the tiny glow from their
fire disappeared. About 10 minutes later, the guys came back, carrying all
of their camping gear. They set up their things on the other side of the
fire from the girls' tents.
As soon as they were done, everyone gathered around the roaring fire.
Howie
carried Rain over to the bench that she had been sitting on before Brian had
scared them all.
"Ummm, where's the marshmallows?" Amy joked.
"Amy, you know that they're in my pack," Angel whispered.
"I want one!" Brian and Nick shouted.
Everybody ended up roasting marshmallows, and Kevin, Howie, Rain, and Jade
also
made s'mores.
"Hey look! This is what I did to my feet!" Rain laughed, holding up a
very burnt
marshmallow. Everyone laughed at that as Rain then handed her guitar to
Brian.
"Well, I think that this song is the most appropriate for right now," he
said as he
began playing the BSB's song 'As Long As You Love Me.' Everyone sang along.
They were all happier than they had ever been, or so they thought.
Just as they were getting ready to sing the next song, which was
'Everybody
(Backstreet's Back),' there was a loud crash of thunder. Lightning flashed
across the sky. Water began gushing from the clouds like a firehose that had
been turned on full-blast.
"Darn! Everybody run!" Rain shouted as people started rushing to the
closest
tent. Rain herself even got up and hobbled quickly over to the tent.
Soaking wet,
everyone just sat there for a moment, then everyone busted out laughing.
"Well, so much for a full-moon serenade under the stars," Nick said with
a giggle.
