League Record: 5-5 (9-8 Overall)
Under second year coach Vic McElroy, the Warriors finished the 1964-65 season with a 5-5 record in DIL play and 9-8 overall for the season. Warriors Finish 5-5 In DIL Play
Paul Drain Earns MVP Honors
Throughout the season, the Warriors were led by the trio of Paul Drain, Larry Souza, and Rod Williams.
In pre-league play, the Warriors participated in two tournaments. At the annual Trona Tournament, the Warriors lost to Lone Pine and then defeated Boron.
Drain scored 20 points in the two games and was selected to the All-Tournament team.
In the annual Desert Tournament at Edwards AFB, Tehachapi lost to Desert in the opener, 42-61, nipped Mojave by a point, then lost to Trona, 56-52, in the consolation game.
In league play, the Warriors were defeated once by Bishop, twice by Desert, and once by lowly Mojave (2-8). Bishop won the league with a perfect 10-0 mark while
Desert finished in 2nd place at 9-1.
Senior Paul Drain was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the team. Rod Williams led the team in scoring with 186 points and was selected to the All-DIL team.
