After sitting for awhile,
He took me on a tour
We walked, and walked
on those streets,
made from gold, so pure.
Oh! Such beauty to behold,
Each step along the way.
While longing for the day I could
I know I couldn't stay.
What an awesome place, He has prepared
For all of us, who believe.
It's magnificence, and splendor,
far beyond, what the mind can conceive.
No words can express the love that I felt,
As I walked with Jesus (my Brother),
Then, He asked about the love,
That I had in my heart for others.
"Oh yes! I love them Jesus,
And I do whatever I can,
To somehow be a blessing
to my fellow man."
"How many have you told about me?"
I could tell that He already knew,
And to my shame, I had to admit,
that the number was far too few.
I've spent most of my life,
Just thinking about, me and mine.
With so few of my thoughts being directed,
Toward hurting mankind.
I had always said(in my heart),
That I would surely go,
Out into the harvest field,
Before the trumpet blows.
"But, can't you see?" He asked me,
for some it has already blown!
Their chance for eternal life
Has long, long, been gone."
"To all of you who believe in Me,
the call is to go and tell.
For every minute that you delay,
Another will go to hell!"
"You are My voice upon the earth,
My feet, and My hands too.
For someone to hear in that realm,
It will have to come from you."
"If you will tell them the Good News
I will do the rest.
I'm not asking for perfection,
I'm just asking for your best."
"Many are those who have died,
without ever having heard,
that My Cleansing Blood would save them,
as told of in My Word."
"Many are those who have died,
and because someone failed to tell,
are damned for all of eternity,
to the torturing pits of hell."
"You need to search your heart.
Yes, there is still time.
But, the harvest fields are wide,
And the reapers are in line.
"If you find your heart sincere,
it's still not too late,
to take My Word, to a hurting world,
with hope, to change their fate."
"Do you even have the surety.
That those you love are safe?
Are you certain that those, who have already passed,
came to abide here in this place?"
His words gave me something,
to really think about,
so I thought that I would take a minute
to go and check it out.
Along the way, I began to think,
Of all the days, and friends, gone by.
Did I ever tell them about Jesus?
And, if I didn't, WHY?
Then my thoughts went back to you,
my very dearest friend.
And, I could not remember,
Did I tell you about HIM?
My sweet dream soon faded,
Into the most terrible of nightmares,
As I searched, and searched through Heaven,
And I could not find you there!
I talked to Paul, I talked to John,
And even father Abraham.
They said they have not see you there.
I just did not understand.
I just kept searching frantically,
But you were not to be found.
Again I heard the words that Jesus spoke.
This time with such deafening sound!
