Sensible Shoes

Virtual Liner notes.

The "Sensible shoes" virtual album has been produced over the course of the past 12 months, and in fact is still in production. Darn those sensible re-workings, alternative lyrics and deciding that some tracks sounded plain cruddy.

So how do I write songs? Sometimes I write the lyrics first [ABC Lone D for example], sometimes I write the music and babble innanely until I get something that sounds mildly interesting. Sometimes I Jam, sometimes I custard. It depends on my mood. Songs often just pop into my head and I find myself humming them to myself for ages before committing them to eternal damnation by recording them on my ipaq and resyncing, adding echo etc. Sometimes, I just can't get the song to sound right - and it ends up as innane poetry.

What are they all about? Well, some songs have deeper meanings, some are pretty obvious when you hear them, and of course some of them are just gibberish strung together in a fashion that sounds good to me.
