Animation started : October 18th 2004
Explanation : Having seen the great David Devant and his Spirit wife live in Birmingham, I thought "I wonder whether I'd be able to recreate some of that feeling in a slightly crazy animation."
This version is very small and simply shows the Vessel bursting through the "paper curtain" and Foz? playing the guitar. It is obviously at very early stage. The idea is that is that it will become an interactive flash movie experience, whereby the viewer can click their mouse, or press keys and be rewarded with various things - be it clips of music [as played by the animated band], or the band doing something "Devant-ish".

Development time : no idea - this could take ages. If/when it is completed, I think it could look quite good.

Progress : Version 0.01 - 21/10/04

Currently have reasonable "models" of the Vessel and Foz? who are fully jointed [unlike my usual animation style]. Foz?'s body has been split such that the guitar playing animation is independant of any other body parts - which should allow me to make him walk, sing, leap in the air - etc. while playing. The Vessel's shadow is new today, and "kindness" is chosen as his word, by virtue of a lack of imagination on my part. Need to create some spectral roadies to carry the screen off [and hold it in place]...
