TOUGH LOVE
Buffy goes to see one of her Professors at UCSD. She tells him that she has to leave to look
after Dawn. Buffy is really sad that she has to leave.
Ben turns up at the hospital, he is told by one of the Doctors that he has been fired because
he hasn't turned up at work for two weeks.
OPENING CREDITS
Glory informs Jinx and the others that they will step up their search for "The Key."
Buffy and Dawn sit with her Prinicipal. She informs Buffy that Dawn has not been attending
school and if she continues to do so Dawn will be taken away from her.
Buffy and Giles talk alone. Giles tells her that it is time that she puts her foot down. He
tells her that Dawn needs this, she needs discipline.
Glory tells her people they know who the key is and they go to get it.
Tara and Willow talk and they both disagree on what Buffy should do with Dawn. The two begin to
talk and Tara tells Willow that it frightens her at just how powerful a witch she is. Willow
gets mad at this. Tara believes that Willow will go back to men one day and she will be left
alone Willow finds this insulting and leaves.
Tara walks around the World Fair on her own, she then goes and sits down on a bench. As she
looks away someone comes and holds her hand. She smiles as she turns to face Willow, however
the smile turns to terror when she sees it is Glory holding her hand. Glory figures out that
Tara is not "The Key". She squeezes her hand so tight blood pours from it. Tara refuses to tell
her who "The Key" is and so Glory sucks the sanity from Tara as a shocked Willow looks on unable
to help.
Tara and the gang is at the hospital. Her hand is broken and she has to spend the night in the
Mental Health Ward. Willow tells Buffy that she will have her revenge on Glory. Buffy tells her
there is a time and a place and this isn't it. She ignores Buffy's advice and goes after
Glory.
Willow rushes to the Magic Box and gets a book about the Darkest Magic's. Willow turns up at
Glory's. She casts a spell on her to slow her down. Glory begins to fight back and easily stops
everything Willow throws at her. Buffy turns up and with the help of Willows spell they get
away.
Willow, Dawn and Buffy are all looking after Tara. Willow tells Buffy and Dawn that Tara is her
girl and she will look after her. Buffy and Dawn both understand as if anything happened to
either of them they would be in Willows situation.
This beautiful moment is ruined when Glory rips the wall from the side of the house. All of
them are shocked at what they see. Tara begins to babble that the earth is moving, she then
looks at Dawn and begins to see that a bright green light is coming from Dawn. Glory just
smiles as her search is over, thanks to Tara she now knows who "The Key" is...
After we were told that the 100th Episode was not going to be two hours long a few of us were a
little disappointed. Of course there was no need as Joss has come to our needs with the start of
an amazing four-part story.
This episode kicks off the start of the final battle with Glory. The episode is a little slow to
start off with and it is not until the final fifteen that it really picks up to that great
expectation that the second half of Season Five has been promising. It did have a bad feedback
from the fans as they are not exactly Tara fans like myself. The last few scenes are out of this
world and the final one will have you wiping a tear away from your eye before one of the most
shocking cliff-hangers in Buffy history...
With "Spiral", "The Weight of The World" and "The Gift" we are in for a fantastic end of season
run in.
