SEASON ONE BIG BADS
THE MASTER & DARLA
The Master was The first "Big Bad" of Buffy with his henchperson Darla, whom he sired when she
was dying.
The Masters real name was Heinrich Joseph Nest and was sired over 600 years ago. He came to
Sunnydale after he was drawn to the Hellmouth. In 1937 an earthquake ripped Sunnydale in two and
The Master was pulled down with it. In the final episode of Season One "Prophecy Girl", Giles
read in the Pergamum Codex that Buffy would come up against the Master and die. And that she did,
until Xander brought her back with CPR. She went up against the Master again and killed him by
impaling him on a piece of broken wood, however his body never turned to dust.
Darla is the first Vampire that we see in Buffy, she was sired by the Master over 400 years ago.
Darla is the Masters favorite Vampire and is deeply shocked when Angel dusts her. But as usual
on Buffy that means nothing and she returns in the Buffy Spin-off "Angel."
SEASON TWO BIG BADS
ANGELUS, SPIKE AND DRUSILLA
Angelus is the biggest, badest, tough ass Vampire in Buffy ever. Not just a Vampire but one with
so much intelligence, so full of rage that it makes him the ultimate fighter and your worst
nightmare. Sired by Darla in 1753, in Galway Ireland he was a young man to go by the name of
Liam. Even the Master called him "the most vicious creature I ever met." After killing a gypsy
girl in a very sick way, they cursed him and gave him back his soul. He would have to live
forever knowing what he had done, the ultimate punishment, more than death. While he was Angel
he fell in love with the Slayer, but after making love to her for the first time he lost his
soul and became Angelus. While back to his old evil self he brutally murdered Jenny Calander in
the most shocking episode to be screened yet. He did however get his come-up-ance, when Buffy
sent him to Hell even though he had turned back into Angel...
Spike is a very tough Vampire. He has killed two slayers in his time and plans to make Buffy his
third. He was sired by Drusilla when she needed a playmate. At the end of "Whats my line? Part 2
Spike gets crippled and has to watch on as Drusilla and Angelus become closer. As a result he
becomes jealous and forms an alliance with Buffy to take Angelus out...
Drusilla was sired by Angelus in 1860 after he discovered that she had visions of the future.
But before he turned her he played with her, made her go insane by killing everyone that she
loved. This means that Drusilla is mad, she gets visions that help Angelus and Spike. When she
becomes stronger she manages to kill Kendra the Vampire Slayer when she stuns her.
SEASON THREE BIG BADS
MAYOR WILKINS AND FAITH
Mayor Richard Wilkins III has been Mayor of Sunnydale for 100 years. He pays tributes to gods in
order to live for so long. After the Mayor's "Dedication" he will be invincible for 100 days,
now not even his biggest fear can kill him, germs. He is taken away by Faith, but not in a way
Faith first see's it as. He has come to love her like a daughter and this is an amazing look at
the relationship of Buffy and Giles if there were evil. He was once married to Edna Mae but she
grew old and died. Once the Ascension comes around, the Mayor transforms from his human self to
a giant Demon Snake, however he is soon killed by a giant explosion, his last words? "Well Gosh."
Once Kendra had died Faith was activated. Faith has a tough time of it, she watched as her
Watcher was killed in front of her by Kakistos. She accidently killed a human, and with the
weight of the world on her shoulders she turned to the dark side and joined forces with the
Mayor. She used every chance to get revenge on Buffy for her having to live in her shadow and
when she poisend Angel only a Slayers blood could cure him. As Buffy and Faith battled to the
death Buffy stabed her but with her last action Faith took away her vitial victory and put
herself in a coma.
SEASON FOUR BIG BAD
ADAM
Up to this point Adam was Buffy's biggest ever foe. He was made by Prof. Walsh, who tried to
kill Buffy when she got too close to the project. However Adam killed her instead. He is made up
of many different parts of Humans, Demons and Robots. After he escaped into the freedom of
Sunnydale he wanted to discover how the body works. In his first few moments out he brutally
killed a little child to see what his insides looked like. He went on to recruit other Demons to
his cause, along with Spike who he promised he would remove the chip if he helped him. As the
demons pulled a Trojan Horse on the Iniative, Buffy realised she could not kill Adam alone so
after a spell Xander, Giles and Willow joined in Buffy's body to add strength and allow Buffy
the extra strength to rip the power source out of his chest, and so killing him.
SEASON FIVE BIG BAD
GLORY
Could this be the most powerful bad guy to ever grace the screen of Buffy??? Most likely. Her
background is rather complex. She is in fact a god from another demon dimension, where she ruled
with two other gods. However as she became too powerful the other two teamed up and defeated her
thus banishing her from their relm and as a punishment locked her inside a human body, that of a
man called Ben. Two of them exist in one body so they shift into existence occupying the same
space in our world. Glory's goal was to capture "the key" which would open the gate back to her
home world. However this would also mean the destruction of this and every other world. As she
discovered that Dawn was "the key" she managed to get hold of her. As she prepared her, the
bridge between herself and Ben started to fade and she began to feel something for humanity. The
Scooby gang mounted one last attack on Glory and Buffy managed to defeat Glory thanks to a troll
god's hammer. However before she could kill Glory she turned back to Ben, and Buffy could not
force herself to kill a demon. However Giles knew that because of this one day Glory would
resurface and come after Buffy again. Not wanting to see Buffy put through anything else he
covered Ben's mouth and stopped him from breathing. However even with Glory defeated Buffy and
the gang still lost and all had to deal with a tragic loss.
