Season One of Buffy was only 12 episodes long so with one Box Set you have got the entire series. Season One is a very very good Season and I can say that there is not one episode in it that I dont like. The Box set contains the episodes :

This Box Set is well worth a look and great value for money, but however if you have got a DVD player then maybe it might be better to splash out an extra £10 for the DVD. The Season itself was a basic look into the whole theme of the show, and to introduce us to the characters and get us to love them. Every single episode is written by people who know their stuff. If you watch the first season now it shows how far all four of them have come. Buffy is no longer a fussy annoying little brat, Willow is not a nerd, Xander actually became a hero and Giles had sadly become much less English and grew into a father figure.
The Season One Box set is great value for money and its basically nine hours of some of the best ever Buffy moments.
It gets a score of 9 out of 10 and a thumbs up!!!

SEASON TWO BOX SETS




SEASON TWO PART ONE EPISODES ONE - ELEVEN

This is Part One of easily the best Buffy Season to date, everything the viewer wanted Joss and the team delivered but even better that we could have wished for. There is the odd filler episode here and there, but with the season being so amazing even these normally poor episodes are out of this world. The Box set contains the episodes :

These episodes are essential to what will happen in the second half, episodes that will take your breath away. "School Hard" is a fantastic episode, and introduces us to Spike and Drusilla two of the three Season badies."School Hard" may be the best episode in this Box Set but the story of "Whats My Line?" and "Ted" are out of this world.
This is a fantastic addition for anyones Buffy collection, but if you have only got the money for one box set, I think you should read my next review.
It gets a score of 7 out of 10.


SEASON TWO PART TWO EPISOPES TWELVE - TWENTY TWO

This is it. Heaven for ANY Buffy fan. This Box Set is out of this world, and that does not do it justice! Ask any Buffy fan what there top five episodes of all time are and 9 out of 10 of the will give at least 3 episodes from Season Two Part Two. The Box set contains the episodes :

This Box Set starts off with the episode "Bad Eggs" which is fantastic but one of the odd ones out of this part of the series. After this everything we have ever know about Buffy goes out of the window as the show ascends from being a Sci-Fi Horror show to a brilliant written drama series which could never happen without the genius of Mr Joss Whedon. The rest of the series puts Buffy in the spotlight and the performances by Sarah Michelle Gellar are amazing and it really should be criminal at how she never won any awards for this.
If you dont know what happens, where have you been? Buffy experiences heartache like never before when her boyfriend turns back into his evil alter ego Angelus, what is worse for Buffy is the fact is she is to blame. She and Angel made love and this triggered his transformation. If you are an emotional person then you will be crying for eight hours straight. If the Season couldnt get even more better we have "Passion." This episode is just fantastic and the performances by Sarah and in particular Tony Head are out of this world, I even had a little moment of embarrasment during this episode, when I welled up. Ahhhhh poor me.
As with all Joss episodes "Becoming Parts 1 and 2" are amazing. The time has come for Buffy to kill the only man she has ever loved, not just for her but for us all as Angelus is going to suck the whole world into hell...
As you can tell I really like these episodes and so wont say anymore.

SEASON THREE BOX SETS




SEASON THREE PART ONE EPISODES ONE - ELEVEN

What will become of Buffy? She fled Sunnydale for L.A after killing Angel, the Mayor of Sunnydale wants to destroy the place and a new Slayer has been activated since the death of Kendra. Season three is very good, but mainly due to two people, The Amazing Mayor Wilkins and the always lovely Eliza Dushku as Faith. The Box set contains the episodes :

As with the Season Two Box Set One, this sets out what happens in the rest of the series. It introduces us to the characters but the story line doesnt pick up at all until the Second Box. There are some good episodes in here though, "Dead Man' Party", "Band Candy", "Lovers Walk", "The Wish" and "Amends" are to name but a few. Not a lot of people will agree with me that "Amends" is a good episode, but it is so important to everything that will happen, not just in Buffy but the spin-off series "Angel", as this is the first time we see the PTB (Powers That Be.)
To be honest this isnt one of the best box sets out at the moment, even though it has a few very good episodes there are just too many fillers and people like Giles take a back seat and watch what is going on around them.
It still is a good buy for anyone collecting them all. I will give it 7 out of 10.


SEASON THREE PART TWO EPISOPES TWELVE - TWENTY TWO

The second half of this season is amazing, I love both the Mayor and Faith so to me this is over eight hours of pure magic. As you can tell by the name of the site as well I am a big Wesley fan and it is here we are introduced to him. The episodes come thick and fast and I think that this apart from the Season One box set is one where there is not one single bad episode. The Box Set contains the episodes :

The series gets turned on its head when one of the members of the Scooby gang defects to the Dark side to side with the Mayor. Every single episode of this Box Set is amazing so you really wont get bored at all here.This is the last box set for Angel as he leaves the show in the last episode to take up the lead in the spin-off of his own name. Unlike Season Two when Buffy had to deal with killing her lover, she has to do something even worse than kill a Vampire and attempt to take a human life. The Graduation Day Two-Parter deals with this story line and is all action packed. "The Zeppo" is one of the funniest episodes ever and not suprising its a Xander episode. "Helpless" is a very good Buffy / Giles Relationship episode with Giles losing his job, due to his relationship with the Slayer, he loves her like a daughter."Dopplegangland" is simply amazing, very funny and very tense but we have come to expect nothing less from a Joss episode
This is an amazing Box Set and gets a score of 9 out of 10. Brilliant but still not Season Two Box Set Two.

SEASON FOUR PART ONE EPISODES ONE - ELEVEN

Angel's gone, the gang except Xander has moved to College at U.C.S.D and Giles is unemployed and depressed. Add to the fact that theres a secret Government Organisation on the scene and Spikes back but "Impotent" and you got one hell of a Box Set. The Box Set contains the episodes :

Sadly the first two tapes of this Box Set are not very good. They are all fillers episodes and the Storyline for this series does not pick up until VERY late. The last tape however contains some outstanding Buffy episodes. "Something Blue" is sooo funny and "Doomed" is action packed and goes back to the good old days of Buffy action. Then theres "Hush", if you have seen this episode I think you will agree, it is recently been voted the best Buffy episode EVER. You cant argue with that and you may as well jump on the band wagon because "Hush" is out of this world, for once its a Buffy episode that is scary but the whole idea behind it and the way Joss pulled it off is amazing and how he didn't win an award for this episode is criminal.
For "Hush" alone I would buy this box set the episode is that good. I give this box set an 8 out of 10.


SEASON FOUR PART TWO EPISOPES TWELVE - TWENTY TWO

What is it with Buffy? Howcome the second half of the season always blows the first one out of the water? It happens all the time. I aint complaining because its our gain. This box set is magic and has something for everyone. Faith wakes up from her coma, Angel returns and meets Riley, Oz Returns, Adam looks to be winning and Jonathan is the new Buffy. The Box Set contains the episodes :

This Box set is yet again very good. The Big Bad for the season might have been a little poor, and killed a bit too easily but still that doesnt stop there from being some damn fine episodes in here. The Faith Two Part "This Years Girl / Who Are You" is great and its good to see everyones favourite Slayer back for a while. There are your odd filler episodes here and there but they hold their own and are very good. Yet again the last tape is the best tape, two part episode "The Yoko Factor / Primeval" are yet again brilliant, as Adam finally meets his match but for once Buffy cant do it on her own, and thats a good thing. Then comes "Restless." To the casual Buffy fan you wouldn't like it. However to someone who is Buffy 24:7 this is the most important and clever Buffy episode so far. With Adam dead Joss takes this episode and shows us all what basically is a massive Spoiler episode for season 5. But its not right in our face, you really have to look and listen to what is going on and then sit and think about what you have just seen. Yet again simply an amazing Second Half Box Set and gets a fully deserved 9 out of 10.
