Post Birthday rundown

Yesterday I turned 42. Diane, being the swell gal that she is, took care of me. I don't want to go into too much detail because I want to document the whole day in a different form. Link to follow.

Let's just say that I had a wonderful day thanks to Ms Di and her amazing friendship. Thanks, Di.

Thanks to all my friends who contacted me and wished me a happy day, especially those in the super secret email group -- you kids made me cry with your kind words. It hits me deep when I hear that the person I hope to be is what you see and love. Happiness is never so sweet.

Now I'm off to check the mail -- someone must have sent me money, right?

Very quickly, because I'm way sleepy -- I wore the jacket I made today and not only did a early twentyish gal ask me my opinion on a belt, I had a very cute law school student sit down at the table I was at (I was outside a coffee place waiting for Di) and joke with me. AND I caught him, out of the corner of my eye, checking me out. I started a conversation with him, but then Di showed up and told him to leave me alone. LOL It was fun.

I'm never taking this jacket off.

Di is home and we talked for an hour or so. It's great to have her back. I'm going over to her place to hang out tomorrow. She has been kind enough to offer me BART money so I can get home tomorrow and a round trip for my birthday on Friday. She's very sweet.

Peter called yesterday morning to tell me that they made it to OR safely. He said that he hadn't called his family, Samantha hadn't called her family, Casey hadn't call her family -- I was the first person they called. A-daw! Peter also said that he hadn't cried at all while saying good-bye to all his other friends but I had him blubbering. It's good to know how much he cares for me. He's a dear person.

I'm having some pre-birthday ickies. I want to sleep all the time and am feeling lower than I have been. 42. The Ultimate Answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything. I hope Mr. Adams is right, I need things to become more upbeat.
