GRIMLOCK:
As the boards resident genius (don't yell at me, this is what others call me), I feel the need to say something about the demise of our beloved board. So, here goes....

It seems like only yesterday that we were complaining about The Reformatting, and bemoaning the introduction of some upstart adolescent bat. And yet, we have been on this board for a long time. In fact, the first message was posted here on September 15, 1999. This means that we have been here for almost four months.

Looking back, it amazes me to see the unbridled optimism in the early posts. There are compliments about the animation, the characters, even the storyline. It would appear that, over the series, we have become much more jaded than those early posters. However, our comments are reflections of our experiences. Had Beast Machines lived up to the standards laid down by such great episodes as Other Visits, Optimal Situation, and Nemesis, our posts would no doubt be so sweet that they would give people cavities. However, we have been dissapointed too often by Skir and Isenberg (yes, there really ARE two people responsible for this show). However, for every tragedy we have endured, we have also had surprises that delighted us.

So, when you look back on this board, whether in memory or from new boards, remember that we were always here, ready to discuss (almost) any topic. And, we were almost always able to figure out the secrets the writers didn't want us to know. So, it sounds like our time here was well worth it.
