Rattrap stretched as he got out of his quarters. The Maximals were really up to something today. The area outside the ark was cluttered with various crates and supplies. “Ehhh, what’s going on? Project Eternity part 2?”“No, Rattrap,” Rhinox shot back. “We’re fixing this base up. We want it to be able to stand up to any Pred attack.”
“Whatever,” Rattrap muttered angrily. He picked up his box of Waspinator parts.
Depthcharge walked beside Rattrap, slamming his fin into his back.
“Hey!” Rattrap said, trying to balance the Waspinator parts carefully. “You ought to watch where you’re going, fishhead! Oops!”
Rattrap watched helplessly as one of Waspinator’s arms flew in the air. Before he knew it, it fell somewhere. “Where is it?!” Rattrap hollered, dropping the crate he was carrying. “I can’t lose that arm!”
“But Rattrap,” Blackarachnia said, slapping his back, “You’ve got plenty of Waspinator parts.”
“I know,” Rattrap said, “But I’ve got to find that one.”
Several cycles later…
Optimal Optimus and Rhinox watched Rattrap vacuum sections of the cave. “What’s Rattrap doing?”
“Oh, Optimus,” Rhinox shook his head. “Rattrap lost a part of Waspinator earlier. He hasn’t stopped searching for it. He’s scoured the area near the ark, the crates, the quarters, Blackarachnia’s quarters, the R-chamber, Blackarachnia’s quarters again (that time there was a lot of screaming), and even the Ark itself. He’s not giving up.”
Rattrap walked up to them. “Heh, it’s not on ground, I can tell you that.”
“Rattrap? Why are you wearing a snorkel?”
“I’m going to check out the lava pit. It might have fallen in there.”
“Okay, Rattrap. But I’d suggest a few minutes. You just ate. Lava pit?!?! You can’t go in there! You’ll melt!”
“No I won’t,” Rattrap smiled. “I’m wearing some rubber. Lava doesn’t electrocute stuff that’s wearing rubber.”
“Right,” Optimus nodded approvingly. “Rattrap, you’re not as dumb as I – electricity? What are you talking about?”
“Too late,” Rhinox sighed. “He jumped it.”
Even MORE mega cycles later…
“I found it! I found it! By golly, I found it!” Rattrap exclaimed, leaping out of the lava pit. “Yo, by Primus I don’t believe it.”
“I don’t believe it,” Rhinox whispered to Cheetor, “He’s still alive.”
Rattrap showed off the charred Waspinator arm he had in his hand. He gave it a big hug. “Yeeee! I’m going to throw a party! Everyone’s invited! Come one come all! I’m celebrating cause I found my Waspinator arm!”
In the story, Rattrap lost one, among many, Waspinator parts. Even though he had plenty more parts, he still searched for the lost one. And when he found it, he celebrated! In the same way, Jesus said, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
To God, every one, every soul, is important. And when even one soul among the 6 billion on this earth receive Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, there will be rejoicing in Heaven.
Take time today to read Luke 15:8-10.
