When the Jarl and her husband's haven came under attack, they disappeared for a few days of recovery, leaving the business of the clan in the hands of Tycho and his counterpart of the same rank, Kai Tukov. However, due to the injuries which Kai suffered from a battle, Tycho was left as the sole acting leader of the clan. Such responsibility on his socialite shoulders has weighed heavily on Tycho's mind, and with Morgan back and in charge, he's finally relaxed.
During the time when Tycho was "Acting Jarl", he was forced to pass judgement upon 'Lady' Katherine Anne Durant, a Reeve of the Witan, in an incident involving a Gangrel neonate, and his arch-nemesis, George Dewey. This has escalated the hatred between the two to the point where they won't speak to each other, let alone acknowledge each other's presence. He is now hell-bent on Dewey's systematic destruction, involving everything Dewey treasures, then finally Dewey's life when he inevitably breaks the Masquerade.
Most surprisingly to himself is his recent conscience about destroying a fellow clanmate (Guylian) who is blood-bonded to Dewey. But, a conversation with a fellow enemy of Dewey, Kai Tukov, has led him to brush away this last twinge of regret.
A neonate, Bobby-Jo Miller, has built quite the friendship with Tycho. She became the leader of a Gangrel sponsored coterie, called "The Fyrd", which responsibilities involve the dirty work of the Gangrel. Currently, they are in training as a team. Tycho is also a member of this coterie.
Their friendship became quite close, and when Bobby-Jo was staked for violating the Second Tradition of obeyance towards one's leader in Jarl Morgan's domain, he accepted responsibility for her as a childe, per the 4th tradition, thus should she commit another violation of the Traditions, Tycho would also suffer punishment. Several Gangrel have expressed their distinct displeasure in Tycho accepting such responsibility over such a volatile neonate, but she just hauntingly reminds him of Onyx.
Bobby-Jo now makes her haven in Tycho's apartment sub-basement haven, and has been fully blood-bonded to Tycho, but still makes mistakes in spite of his teachings.
Recently, Daliela discovered the existant of Bobby-Jo as his lover, and close childe/confidant, challenged Bobby-Jo, and used her deadly Gangrel claws, caused a severe amount of damage to Tycho's lover. She then tried to petition Jarl Morgan to put Bobby-Jo under somebody elses teachings, not Tycho's. Morgan refused, and when Daliela tried to challenge Morgan to overthrow her decision, Tycho frenzied and slaughtered his 2nd Childe.
