Click on the section which you want to download the anime.
Some where in the review you will find a small section which
you can click and have the infomation for the username
and password.
After that you can click on the FTP on the menu in order to
get the host IP and port number of the server.
Port number will change weekly so check back once in a while.
Download and install PowerArchiver 2000 (freeware).
Download all the files (ex: file001.zip, file02.zip, ... file0xx.zip)
from the servers into your harddisk, remember to check out
our sponsor, and save the files IN THE SAME FOLDER.
Use PowerArchiver 2000 to open the LAST zip file.
(note: do NOT try to open other files other than the
last one, it won't work.)
Use PowerArchiver2000 to extract the multimedia clip.
Well, the files that you had donloaded and extracted are possibly
some RM (RealMedia), AVI (Audio Video Interleaved), or MPG/MPEG
(Moving Pictures Expert Group). There is, ofcourse, a few way
for you to see these files. The most simple way is to use your
WindowMediaPlayer 6.4 (7.0 simply take way too much memory FOR
NOTHING!) or above with the Divx codec.
Other media player such as Xing MPEG Player or Global DivX Player
is a better option than the default WindowMediaPlayer. If you
want to make your life easier, use WindowMediaPlayer because it
comes with Windows. If you want to save some of your precious
system memory, then i suggest Global DivX Player, or the ThePlaya
(the best AVI player out there.) from Project
Mayo.
Simple! first off, you need to have a pretty good computer and
video card in order to decompress the Divx of course! ;) Something
like PII266 or K6-450 with 32-64MB of RAM. Then grab and install
the LATEST Divx codec in your system, and install a good Divx
player (such as my Globe Divx Player). Finally, set your screen
resolution to 640X480 and set the colors mode to TRUE COLORS,
which should be 32bit or even higher in the future... There, you
have it!
Power failure, sometimes when there is a storm or simply a
power shortage, the server would be down for a while. If it's
just a short periode of time, it will reboot itself and you
can then re-login.
ISP failure, sometimes when our Internet Service Provider
were down, then of course our FTP would be down as well.
Reboot, well, we don't have a super computer nor we have a
backup server. So once in a few days we reboot our system. It's
only like a few minutes, so it might be your lucky day if you
caught these few minutes down time hehe...
Server maintancenence, like every other server on the net,
we also need to clean up the server and make sure it runs properly.
Finally, the FTP is down when we did something wrong and screw
it up hehe... But this rarely happens. ;)
Well believe it or not, people never read the READ FIRST!.txt
on the server root directory... and most of them time people complaints
that the FTP or the login doesn't work hehe... Here is few things
that you, my honorable visitors might wish to know.
If you login as a guest, don't try to download any files.
Because you can't hehe... You can view the READ FIRST!.txt however.
You ONLY have access to perticular anime with the username
you get from the site. Example, if you login as GTO, don't go
to InitialD hehe...
You can download around 50MB files everytime you login. Then
you have to logoff, and try to login again to have another 50MB
credit. If someone else get in during this time. Well, share
the FTP with others, set your retries to 999 times, and you
will eventually get in and get the files.
You can get the codec and other utilities such as players
on the [utils] folder.
Actually, the only thing you should keep in mind is that... DO
NOT HAMMER the FTP! Why? Because you will get yourself ban from
the FTP (meaning refuse to let you login). Many people asked:
"How come i cannot connect to the ftp?", "Your
FTP is not working!" etc... Well, the truth is, my FTP is
working fine and people is downloading stuff off the FTP. You
just need to follow a few little rules. Here is some thing you
should know before you connect to the FTP.
Set your retries interval to 90 seconds!!!
Do NOT use double login (this function is on some of the FTP
clients out there, ex: CuteFTP PRO.) So make sure this function
is off when you login.
If you are already in the server, don't login again... It
is ONE IP PER CONNECTION ONLY. (Unless you have 2 different
computer and 2 different IPs, or you have dynamic IPs.)
Hammering meaning your FTP client has continueously sending request
to the server (FTP, HTTP, any server...) while the server is full,
not available, or denying your request. Everytime you try to connect
to a server, your computer sends a "request", and the
server will send you back a "reply". This might seems
simple and might not be a big deal for you... but we don't have
a super computer and we don't have a T3 connection.
So, when some newbies keep on sending "request" every
2-3 seconds, within an hour or 2, the our server will crash! Therefore,
no one can have access to it for quite a while! Meaning YOU (the
one who were hammering >=p) won't have access to it either.
NOW, you know what is the term HAMMERING means... so PLEASE! Stop
it and FOLLOW THE RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS.
DivX is based on the MPEG-4 compression format. MPEG-4 is a new
standard of video compression that is both high quality and low
bitrate. They are usually only a fraction (around 15%) of the
size of a standard DVD, even at 640x480 resolutions, making them
the best home video format thus far. They only take half the time
to encode, and yet at the same time is smaller in size than MPEG-1
- due to their incredible compression technology - some have even
called MPEG-4 the "MP3 of the video world". Quality ranges from
net-streaming quality to DVD and better!
Download and install the DivX
codecs and then it's just to open the avi/DivX with Windows
Media Player.
VCD stands for 'Video Compact Disc' and basically it is a CD
that contains moving pictures and sound. If you're familiar with
regular audio/music CDs, then you will know what a VCD looks like.
A VCD has the capacity to hold up to 74/80 minutes (on 650MB/700MB
CDs respectively) of full-motion video along with quality stereo
sound. VCDs use a compression standard called MPEG to store the
video and audio. A VCD can be played on almost all stand alone
DVD Players and of course on all computers with a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM
drive with the help of a software based decoder / player. The
quality of a VCD is about the same, but usually better than VHS
tape based Movies. Read more under What is VCD.
A VCD can be played on:
Stand alone VCD Players (very common in ASiA)
Almost all stand alone DVD Players, check here for compability
list
Playstations with VCD-addon
Sega Saturn with VCD-addon pp
All computers with a CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs with a software VCD/MPG
Player.
Insert the VCD and locate the dat file in the MPEGAV folder that
you open with a MPG player like Windows Media Player. Use a low
resolution, such as 640x480, on the monitor when watching a VCD
to get best quality.
SVCD stands for Super Video CD. A SVCD is like a VCD but the
video are stored in MPEG-2 Variabel Bitrate(like DVD Movies) and
in higher resolution. A SVCD can contain from about 35 to 80 minutes
video / CD and therefore most movies are on 2-3 CDs. The quality
is worse than DVD but better than VCD and VHS. SVCD also supports
up to 4 subtitles to choose from.
A SVCDs can be played on:
Stand alone VCD/SVCD Players (common in ASiA)
Many stand alone DVD Players, check here for compability
list
All CD-ROM/DVD-ROM can play SVCDs with a software DVD/SVCD-Player
Insert the SVCD and locate the mpg file in the MPEGAV or MPEG2
folder that you open with a DVD/MPEG2 player like WinDVD or Cinematograph.
Well, you know what? Get the hell out of here! LOL! Why on earth
would you come to this website and view the F.A.Q. when you don't
even know what is Anime hehe... =)
In case someone really that "innocent" and "accidentally"
surf onto this website (i doubt it hehe...) Anime is a short hand
for Japanese Animation, and Japanese Animation means Cartoon from
Japan! Not just any ordinary cartoons, most of them are manually
drew with superb visual quality also combined with either execellent
storyline or amazing soundtracks! North America animation are
nothing compare to Anime! So there you have it, a small little
definition of Anime. Now, can you tell me why you are here? hehe...
;)
Here is a few reasons for why you are banned from our server.
You HAMMERED the FTP and got yourself banned for 3600 seconds.
You HAMMERED the FTP, you hammered it over 5000 times, or
you crashed the FTP and got yourself banned FOREVER. So, either
you come up with a good explaination on why the hell did you
hammer the FTP, or else, bye bye no more FTP for you.
You were using proxy to login as more than one user and downloading
many files at the same time. Those school users, if you think
you trick me with a proxy, well think again. If wedon't catch
you, you are lucky, but if we caught you doing it. You will
get banned for 3600 seconds. If you do it often, we will ban
the entire school's IP.
Or sometimes you didn't get banned, it might be simply the
server is down or too much users are on the server.
All users got themselves banned for 3600 seconds will be remove
from banned list upon server restart.
