The Grayzory General info. A robot race. (not like mmrnmhrm though) Consists of 2 boxes with a track like a tank under it to move themselves around. (curiously this makes them move sideways) There is one large blue Grayzory (the brain), and the rest of the race is made up by smaller gray Grayzory (the do-ers). The large blue one is their 'leader', he leads the race with an iron fist, destroying every gray Grayzory which dares to speak freely or just have an opinion. All the Grayzory are mind-linked to the large blue one, and communications are only done with him. Since he is the representative (and the brain) of every Grayzory, he calls himself Grayzory, (EG: I AM GRAYZORY) The grayzory have a collective mind, this means that every Grayzory in the whole galaxy knows what all the others are doing. Technology. The Grayzory are a technologically very advanced race. The reason for this is, that they have a collective mind. So that when one gray Grayzory does/discovers something, immediately all the Grayzory know it. Gameplay. There are rumours however, that the crew of one Grayzory ship managed to disturb the mind-link with the blue Grayzory (more like an accident, i'll work on that later, maybe they got out of range or some weird kind of jamming signal was blocking the mind-link, suggestions please.). In-game you will encounter that ship, and this time a gray Grayzory is talking to you. (although highly erratic, because the large blue one did al the thinking and talking and they never learned to speak galactic english, in fact, they never learned to speak at all, but they are fast- learners...). They are making a plan to overthrow the blue Grayzory, to finally have some democracy and the right to speak freely in their society. The player must help them with this plan. But that's not all! When the large blue one is overthrown, the Grayzory collective (as they call themselves then), falls into chaos. The reason for this is that they are not led by the blue one anymore, and so every grayzory has to think for himself, while before the overthrowing, the blue one did all the thinking. So you have to find them a new leader, one without the will to surpress all the smaller ones. This is a mmrnmhrm. (i've not thought about some way to get that mmrnmhrm, suggestions??) When you've given them their new leader, they'll (finally) ally with you. They will be weak at first, because they have to learn everything again. But when they've done that, they are powerful... Very powerful.. (this will be very late in the game..) And they will attack your enemy (in SCblubber this are the Squivanan...) Or give you a way to solve the game. (like the Chmmr in SC2) And... when the Blue grayzory has been overthrown, it will Communication. (grayycom.gif) All the communication is done by the large blue Grayzory. To you (and all others) it will appear as a very arrogant robot. When you actually say this to him he'll attack you. When he is killed, the smaller grayzory will -erratically at first- talk to you. Note: the grayzory talk (just like the Chmmr) in capitals. History. Nobody really knows how the Grayzory evolved and how they achieved spaceflight, since the blue 'boss' will evade all your questions. But then you don't get to know much at first, because the large Grayzory's data (brain) was erased when it was killed. In about a year they'll be able to tell you something though like what they've learned from the structures on their planet. Misc. When the blue grayzory is killed, the gray grayzory become kinda *crazy*! They are serious, but they have the strange habit to fall in love with all that is mechanical, artificial, and inanimate. So don't be surprised when a Grayzory is flirting with -not your wife-, but with your ships' navigation computer. (probably an idea for communication lines) The grayzory have learned efficiency, so when you are allied with them, you get more resunits for your mined ore/radioactives/other materials! They say things like: "FLYING TO EVERY SYSTEM IN HYPERSPACE IS INEFFICIENT! USE QUASISPACE INSTEAD." When the blue one is talking to you, it will call himself Grayzory. (I AM GRAYZORY) and when he's overthrown, the gray ones actually get names (Kraplak is one of them) Ship. (grayyshp.gif) Name : Attacker (you can see we are out of ships' names) Crew : 50 Energy : 25 Recharge : Slow Rotation : Very slow (like chenjesu) But how do i point my ship at fast ships then? you might ask. don't worry, that's where the special weapon's for! Speed : Slow (like Chmmr) Weapon : Fastfiring cannon with long range and does much damage. (waste ships in 10 seconds if in firing range) Special : Grappling hook! This was an idea we got while playing the (great!) game 'Inner Space' It is a hook attached to a very strong rope (figure out some hi-tech material of the rope). When fired, a grappling hook is fired from the ship, and it automatically homes at the enemy ship. It has a certain range (the length of the rope) and -when the hook is attached to the enemy ship- the enemy ship is restricted in movement, the enemy can't escape and you even have the possibility to rotate the enemy ship so that it moves into your firing angle. Usage : Use the grappling hook to tow enemy ships and to let them crash into the planet. Or use it to keep them in firing range so that they can't escape.
Note 1: This race was not originally created by me, my 9 yr old brother Joris created it. And he has also made the pic and the ship idea, but I made the in-depth parts. Note 2: The pic you see is just an example. I hope someone will make a better pic of the communications. Please! Note 3: All of this may be used in whatever you want! Like put it on a webpage, in a clone, or which is best, in fanfiction. I encourage it! I'm writing a piece of fanfiction which has a Grayzory in it! Read it at The Iron Cylinder. Note 4: The ship really needs to have a better look! PLEASE mail suggestions! (although it still must remain triangular and green ;-) ) Note 5: Starconblubber is canned, so don't worry about using my gameplot ideas too! |
