The Mael-Num History
The Melnorme are assumed to be the Mael-Num for the history page. If we didn't there wouldn't be a history page.
The Mael-Num were once a part of the Sentient Millieu along with the Ur-Quan. But once the Dynarri were overthorwn, the Korh-ah started killing species and the Kzer-sa starting enslaving/imprisoning. There 2 fleets finally met in high orbit above the Mael-Num homeworld. They did not know what to do, they had very different opinions on what to do. They argued for hours until they just started to fire upon each other. During the battle, the Mael-Num (being as industries as they were) were able to escape from the Ur-Quan and were never seen or heard from again.
That was 20,000 years ago. Much can happen and much can change in that amount of time. It is believed the Melnorme are the Mael-Num because... 1. The name is similair to each other (which isn't really a good arguement in reality since you can't translate names of species like that and even if you could the Melnorme would have lied about it) 2. becaue they have a waste about of information on the history of this quadrant, especially since they are 'new to this region of space.'
