Your ship will put to port in George Town and is one of the few ports where the ships do not actually dock. The shallow water requires these large cruise ships to anchor off-shore and shuttle passengers back and forth to shore on local tenders.

Known for a long time as a paradise for scuba divers and snorklers, Grand Cayman boasts incredible crystal clear waters for all kinds of aquatic sports. With numerous excursions available, finding activities will pose no problem. Shopping in the Caymans is a bit different from other ports because George Town is the home to many off shore banks. You'll find very high end jewelers and other boutiques in addition to the souvenir shops strewn about the waterfront. Expect prices to be a bit higher than you're used to in other ports.

No trip to Grand Cayman would be complete without going to Hell! Hell is a small town up in the northwest corner of the island and souvenirs abound with slogans like "I've been to Hell" on them. The post office in Hell is usually a busy place because tourists like to send mail postmarked from Hell.

Another notable tourist attraction is a kind of mini shopping mall right downtown that has a large indoor aquarium with resident sharks swimming within. Well worth a look. Whether you're walking around or rent a scooter, you'll have a good time in George Town and be sure to check out the yachts anchored near your ship, many celebrities frequent the Caymans!
