To My Elroy Pappy
Your blue chair is empty now,
No smile for all to see.
No jokes or tales we will hear,
The laughter we'll miss from thee.

No one you could turn down,
You had a heart of gold.
Friends and family loved you,
This is what I'm told.

The pain and sickness are all gone;
No more suffering you have to endure.
You're with your Mom and Dad again,
Something that I am sure.

Grandpa is no longer here,
You'll always be in their heart.
The love you had for all of them,
Could never keep you apart..

Emptiness I feel inside;
The pain, sorrow, and tears,
Will linger along with memories,
Of special times thoughout the years.

I'll miss you very deeply,
But I know you're finally happy.
I'm sure you're at peace now,
Even though I've lost my "ELROY PAPPY."
