Papaw gave us our individual names;
They were so special you see...
Because he dug deep to find a name,
That would identify just how much he cared for each.

So when he called out that special name,
And we would lift our heads to see...
A smile, to a chuckle, is what his face would show,
And that he was proud as he could be.

Although we were too young to understand,
And still don't know why;
That God chose to take him at Christmas time,
But gave us time to say "good-bye."

Our Grandma did her best,
To hold back her own sorrow and tears.
So she could hold us in her arms,
And comfort us with our fears.

Grandma told us something,
We want to share with you;
"Someday we'll see him again...together we will be.
He's with the Lord Jesus and they are watching over you."

Just one more thing we would like to say, Before we let you go.
"OUR PAPAW IS FISHING WITH JESUS"
