What's SoM Online?

Ahh,the legendary adventures of Kenji,Mina, and ChoiWhat's SoM Online you ask?Well have you ever played Secret of Mana for the snes?Remember how fun it was to beat the crap out of little rabites with your freinds?Yeah well, through the wonders of emulations you can do that with freinds all around the world,in SoM or in the never released in america follow up Secret of Mana 2(known also as Seiken Densetsu 3,which is the japanese name). If you haven't played SoM or SoM2 go to the "How do I play Online?" page and download the ZSNES and the Roms.Anywayz the ZSNES has a super neat feature called "Netplay" that lets you play these classics online. But for some strange reason, netplay with the ZSNES hasn't really got popular. How can such a great feature not get popular?Confusion?Maybe.Stupidity? Most Likely.Well this site,is a place where all those SoM fans can get together and play SoM and SoM2 without having to wait till you freinds come over.Just think of that! You get to play SoM with cool people that cant eat you out of house and home(like my freinds sure do),because they are 20,000 miles awayBeat him so bad he turned white... from you!Well let me give you a little bit of History about Secret of Mana (BTW this stuff is all stuff you dont need to read, itz just intresting, move on to the How do i play online page for the nitty gritty). The first actual "mana" game came out for the gameboy in japan as Seiken Densetsu(literally meaning "the Legend of Saints and Sages").Well this was way back in the day,so square didnt bring it to America(until later where Hudson got the rights to produce it but renamed it Final Fantasy Adventure or something). The game had some reminence of the SoM series, the fighting was action rpg like and you got other chars on your team that fought with you.But then Square took a huge leap and made Seiken Densetsu 2,what we know as Secret of Mana. The game revolutionized gaming. It's blend of in depth character development, stunning graphics, superb fighting system, intriguing story, and multiplayerability just made for a nearly perfect game. The sucess of Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan(which ...only added to Square of Japan's "midas touch",where every game they make is a best seller)led to a sequel. The only problem is,so much work went into the sequel that by the time it came out americans were craving for new generation of systems like Playstation and Nintendo 64.So only japan got the masterpeice known as Seiken Densetsu 3.Then came Emulation. The ability to play SNES,Genesis,Gameboy, and just about any other system on the computer sparked the return of some classics, and the translation of Seiken Densetsu 3.And so ends our story,to tell what happened later;Legend of Mana, the follow up to the Seiken Densetsu series came out but didnt match up to the Mana games we know and love. Then some former employees of Square that worked on Secret of Mana got together and are now developing a game called Magical Adventure(i think)which is a 4 player RPG game for the gameboy advance. Then a guy named Joshirou wanted to play SoM and SoM2 but didnt feel like playing with his ungrateful freinds, and learned more about the capabilities of the ZSNES.And so this site was spawned...
