- Your character must NOT be from the computer games/books.
- No magic, psychic, walking dead, etc. characters. BattleTech is a realistic Sci-Fi, meaning only human beings with normal human powers. Only the Nova Cat Clan members have even the possibility of having pyschic visions, and rarely does a Nova Cat have one.
- Make your characters interesting.
- Pet's can make for wonderful RP creatures. But be reasonable now, you can't come in with 10 foot dragons.
- Show originality, i know it's hard but you can try.
- Be descriptive. It'll raise your chances of being accepted.
- Weapons are ok, but only weapons you have bought from official site shops can be used during missions. And don't come in here with some kind of magic sword or super combos or something. Swords, short spears, knifes, and guns are ok though. Just make sure you know how to use them.
- Music and such from today are preserved in this 100-years-in-the-future sci-fi series, so listening to Linkin Park CD's on an ancient CD player isn't unheard of, but would be pretty rare. We don't want to see everyone having a CD player or something like that, but it is a possibilty for your character.
- Each person who signs up must pick which path they will start on: Military Officer or solaris VII Gladiator. What classes, numbers, and type of mechs you start with depend on which path you take.
Solaris Starter Mechs:
Your mech must be a medium or light mech from the House you represent. You can pick any omni variant of that mech when you pick it, but if we get 50 people wanting FireStarter-O/D's, someone's head is gonna role. Try and be unique, like Vuska and his Stinger are. And if you pick an omni, you may pick ONLY ONE VARIANT! And you can't switch which one it is after you have picked it.
Military Starter Mechs:
Your mech must be from your House. There are a few combinations of mechs you can pick for your lance. Also, you may have only one Omnimech in your lance, and that omnimech can only be the Prime Configuration.
1) 1 Heavy Mech, 1 light mech for you lancemate.
2) 1 medium mech, 2 medium lancemates or 1 medium and 2 lights for lancemates.
3) 4 light mechs, 1 for you, 3 for your lancemates.
Also, remember: You are a military unit. Don't just go for firepower. Scouting, force recon, urban assault/defense, and fire support lances are all useful and are helpful in multi-lance missions and companies.
