>Site Rules
- You need AIM to particapate in this RPG. If you do not have it you can get it from AOL Instant Messenger. You also most have a working email address.
- As for us not to have so much work, once you join the site and the message board you must keep up with your own record and other stuff in your signature.
Message Board Rules
- Please limit the cursing, we hope your parents taught you better than that. The reason for this is that overuse of that kind of stuff makes an RPG seem a little less fun. This is not one of those kiddy sites that outlaws cursing, but we still would rather not have all that crap here. Something simple like damn or hell or shit or whatever is ok once in a while, but having it every post just ain't right.
- Keep your name, record, funds, faction, AIM name, Mech, Lancemates names and their mechs (military only) and wether you are a Solaris Gladiator or Military Officer in your sig so people know who you are.
- You have a brain and we're pretty sure you have a good grasp of grammar and punctuation, please use this knowledge when posting. Spamming and Slang get you fined. Slang means stuff like 'u' instead of 'you', and stuff like that. You can type in "ain't" if thats how your character talks.
- No i, repeat no, form of porn or hentaii will be on this site. If you post it, you're banned permanetly from the site with no second though about it. And if you somehow edit someone else's posts so that it looks like they posted it, we can find out in seconds and still ban you.
- Show respect for other members of this site. Even if your character doesn't like them that still doesn't mean you can go around trying to get into fights with them every chance you get. And you must show respect for Admins, mods, and recorders, we wouldn't want you getting fined or banned now would we?
Battling System
This battling system came from our very own Metal Machine Music. This is one cool Zoids RPG. You should really check it out.
- The rounds go like this
Player 1: Fires SRM's at enemy while jumping back.
Player 2: Turns on AMS to take out the missiles while firing autocannons at "insert name for player one"'s mech.
Judge:A few SRM's get through the AMS and blow off a(n) "insert weapon type". The Autocannon takes off quite a bit of armor from "insert player one mech"'s left leg.
Player 2: Continues firing autocannon, and ties in one PPC.
Player 1: Uses jump jets to get behind a hill, firing streak SRM's over the hill into the other mech.
Judge: The PPC blows off "insert name for player one"'s left arm, with autocannon damage to the left shoulder, which is still there. The SRM's can't arc over a hill without a NARC beacon, and blow up lots of dirt. "Insert name for player two"'s mech is able to get rid of most of the PPC's waste heat, leaving only a little in the cockpit.
See the pattern? You will alternate every turn. You say what you want to do, the other guy then does the same, and the judge says what really happens.
- God-modding is a no! Trying to god-mod in battle will get you nowhere. The judges will overlook it or they will give you more damage then what you'd normally get. God-modding in battle is something like "If the opponent runs this way, fires a PPC at it. if the opponent runs straight in, blasts it with a SRM." see where i'm going with this?
Recorders
- Never argue with a recorder. If they are wrong send them a PM or IM saying they were wrong with proof that they were, and/or send our head recorder an email with the proof and a copy of the battle. And heat dissipation and all depends on the recorder's discretion, and unless they are really off on the heat curve, don't bother them about it.
- When the battle has ended don't leave the chatroom till he announces the winner and the mech's damage.
- Recorders will make sure a battle is fair and that all rules will be enforced. They wil also check to make sure you take care of repairs and that you get paid(pay for Solaris people only.) Recorders will not tell you what salvage you may get on a mission battle. The Game Master (or GM; s/he is the person who runs the missions) will review the battle and say what you were able to salvage.
Pay System
- Military Pay comes every Saturday at 5 PM est. You get paid once a week in the military, and the amount of money you make depends on your rank.
1st. Lieutenant. The commander of a single Lance. All players start out as one. (50,000 C-bills a week.)
Captain. This is the rank that you may get promoted to after 1st. Lt. Captain's may command Companies, which are made up of 3 lances. This means that the Captain leads 2 1st. Lt.'s. It takes 4 completely succesful missions (with 2 partial success's equalling one complete success) to be promoted to this rank.(100,000)
Major. This is the third possible rank a military officer can reach. An officer of this rank can command a Battalion, meaning that one major can command 3 Captains and 6 1st Lt's. It takes 14 succesful missions to be promoted to this rank. (400,000 a week)
Colonel. This is the fourth possible rank that a military officer may achieve. An officer of this rank may command a Regiment, meaning a single Colonel can command 3 Majors, 9 Captains, and 18 1st. Lt's. It takes 24 succesful missions to be promoted to this rank, plus one special requirement: You must have 3 other majors of the same house say that you should become a Colonel, and there will be a small investigation of your past missions and fights and such to see if you are worthy. This investigation will be conducted by one of the General Managers and a mod helper.
(800,000 a week)
- If you're a gladiator on Solaris, you make money only when you win a fight in the Coliseum.
Filler. All 'Warriors new to Solaris or who have fallen from a winning streak are filler gladiators. All players start as one of these. (30,000 C-Bills per win)
Regular. This is the gladiator rank you are at after 5 wins. This rank entitles you to more tournaments and the chance to become part of a Stable. (60,000 C-Bills per win)
Advanced. The third rank a gladiator can recieve. This rank entitles the gladiator to more tournaments than the regular rank, and allow a warrior to lead a Gladiator lance in a Stable. Gladiator lances are made of 2 warriors who work together. This is the rank recieved after 15 wins. (90,000 a win)
Elite. The fourth rank a gladiator may become entitled to. An Elite can lead a gladiator company, which is 2 gladiator lances (the Elite leads one lance, while the Regular that leads the other lance is the second in command.) (120,000 a win)
