Welcome to Final Fantasy: Expansion 2! Originally a spinoff of another online RPG, Expansion 2 is now a completely independently run Final Fantasy RPG run by me, Duncan Fox. This RPG is run on the EX2 Ezboard, linked to at the bottom of this page, and is a freeform RPG lacking numerical statistics, so the overall format is pretty laid-back. If you're interested, please feel free to go to the message boards and check out how the RPG works, see what kind of people are playing, etc. If you think you're ready to join, just read the rules and the story, and go to the join section. This RPG has been active since July 2001, making it well over three years old and still popular with its members. All levels of experience are welcome! Rules
Start here; get a general idea of how to play along.
Story
This chronicles the first two years and three months of this RPG, from the appearance of the first villain (Alexander Nightshade) to his defeat. This story summary is long and not necessary to read in order to participate in Ex2, but it's a great read and provides a lot of background on some of the characters still active in the storyline.

Spells
Information for those of you who are a little rusty in your Squaresoft spell knowledge. You're always welcome to write your own original techniques for your characters, but here are the standard spells you're more familiar with.
Members
Bios of current members. These are helpful to look at if you want to view a sample of the caliber of writing we accept (there's a pretty wide range), but it also adds a lot of background story and it's an excellent reference to check characters' skills when fighting with or against them.
