To join, read the story (optional) and rules (not optional) sections so you know what's going on, then copy and paste the form below onto the Applications Section of the Message Board. Fill out the form with your character's information, and post your application. I'm usually pretty good about replying to new applicants, but it may take a day or two to get a response, which you'll receive as a reply to your post on the Message Board. A step by step guide for the form is given below.

Explanation...
This how-to section gives a step-by-step guide to fill out your join form.
[Character Name] Pick a first AND last name; check the members page to make sure it currently isn't being used.
[Gender] Male or Female (hopefully, but not necessarily ^^)
[Age] There are no age limitaions, so you can be as old as you want to be. Most MORTAL characters are ages 16-26 (Duncan is the oldest CURRENT character, at around 32), but going outside that range is perfectly acceptable, especially if playing with a non-human character such as a Moogle, Chocobo, or original fictional creature.
[Class] Your character's class which describes traits and abilities. Classes can range from basic ones seen in most games, such as Knight, Summoner, Black Mage, or Thief, to rarer ones, such as Geomancer, Time Mage, and Bard, to even original classes (such as Alexander Nighshade's Demon Class).
[Weapon] Name and description of weapon; I look very highly upon histories of weapons, such as how they were forged or where they were found. If you're a thief and you have a katana, or you're a black mage and you have a broad sword, I will HATE you. Make the weapon fit the character, PLEASE.
[Armor/Clothing] Whatever armor and protective clothing your character wears. You might have to restate what your character wears in your description of the character, if you think you need to.
[Command] Each character gets four commands, like in most of the games. You must start with the ATTACK and ITEM commands, but you pick the other two. Usually, it's SUMMON and whatever skill best relates to your character's class. Yes, no matter what class you are, you can have ONE summon monster as your SUMMON command (if you're a summoner, you would of course be able to summon multiple monsters with that one command). But remember, you cannot have a summon monster without the summon command; for example, Duncan is a Geomancer and a Knight, so he has KNIGHT SKILL and GEOMANCE as his commands; no summon there.
Also, list your skills below your command list. For example, below "ATTACK, SUMMON, BLACK MAGIC, ITEM," you would have to say "Summon:" and describe your summon, and then say "Black Magic:" and list your black magic spells. Also put the name of the category of your trance skills in [ ] brackets next to te command it replaces. So, it might look something like this:
ATTACK
SUMMON
BLACK MAGIC [DBL BLACK]
ITEM
Summon: Whatever the summon is
Black Magic: Fire, Blizzard, Bio
[Trance] Every character has trance skills. Either a new set of abilities or the skill to do something like cast two magic spells at once. It should reflect your character's class and regular abilities in some way. You can have your character learn a new trance skill every so often in battles, or when you acquire a new weapon.
[Summon] You may choose to start out with an esper (summon monster). You can use one from one of the games, or create one. Summons are REALLY powerful (about 70-90% as powerful as a limit break), but they come with a catch - they MUST be logically worked into your character's storyline. For example, if you want Choco/Mog to be your summon and you're a Chocobo Rancher, you're fine. But if you're a Holy Knight, then... huh? And did someone teach your character how to summon that particular creature, or did they simply encounter the creature during their lives and become attached to it? Be detailed, and your summon will be approved (which is good). As far was WHO you choose for your summon:
Original Creation: Give a short description of it and its attack.
Already Existing: If you chose one that has made multiple appearences (ex. Shiva, Ifrit, Levithan, etc.) please specify from which game, since this affects its appearence and attack in a way. If the summon is already taken by another member, you'll be asked to change it before your bio is approved.
Remember, if you choose to have an esper, you need the SUMMON command as one of your four commands. And when role-playing, espers are used nearly as much as a last resort as limit breaks are, so your esper won't make a million appearances right away or anything.
[Element (optional)] Your character's element, if any. Strong against spells of that type and others weak toward that elemet. Weak against spells effective against that element and others strong against that element.
(Choices: Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Poison, Wind, Water, Holy, Shadow)
[Clothing, Eyes, Hair] What your character wears, and his/her eye color and hair color/style.
[Description/History] A short desription of your character and a short character history.
IMPORTANT!!!!!! This a free-form rpg. That means there are no stats; you just play. If your character is too powerful at the start, I'll help you fix it up, but then it is your responsibility to not abuse power and not powergame.
