Maia Lutter has lived in Carson Bay her entire life. After losing her parents to mysterious circumstances, she moved in with her grandparents. Now 19, she has grown into a quiet, shy young women who has grown up watching many of her friends disapear into the night. Although the immediate impression she leaves with most is one of a demure young woman, once you break through and get to know her, Maia is quirky and loves to have fun. She loves music, and knows more about it then most anyone her age.

Deeply concerned with the welfare of others, Maia often disregards her own well-being to ensure that a friend or loved one is happy. After her recent graduation from high school, Maia decided to take a year off before heading off to a brighter future off the island, as a student of Columbia University in the United States.
