I have two theories, each based on a one deciding factor:
If Voldemort can die then....
If Voldemort cannot die then...
Theory of the Fan Sites #1:
Voldemort has a lifeline inside Harry and once Harry dies, so will Voldie.
My Thoughts:
This is possible. JK Rowling has hinted that Harry Potter might not survive book VII. The idea is too common, however, and doesn't have the magic Rowling shock. Everybody has heard of this; it wouldn't come as a surprise. If this was JK Rowling's idea, she might change it (or rephrase it) to surprise us.
Theory of the Fan Sites #2:
Harry Potter and Voldemort will duel. Harry Potter will nobly win, Voldemort will die, and there will be parties galore in the magical community.
My Thoughts:
This will not happen if JK Rowling keeps the idea of Voldemort not being human enough to die. I think that idea will stay. Also, Voldemort's power is compared to Albus Dumbledore's (and Dumbledore is the most powerfull wizard alive). Harry is still just learning. Even though Harry Potter has survived Voldemort's spells before, anybody who would logically think this out in an unbiased (by that I mean the Harry-is-our-hero-and-he-is-stronger-than-Voldemort thinking) manner would realize that even with a natural anti-dark magic skill, Harry's magical prowess is not as advanced as that of a wizard who has graduated and studied beyond the required (as both Dumbledore and Voldemort have done).
Harry has the potential, but he doesn't yet have the education needed to defeat Voldemort in a real duel. Even he knows that. Harry Potter is strong and clever enough to escape Voldemort, but to actually defeat him is a little beyond his reach.
