Rayndral has no organised military forces as one would think in the sense of the word. However, that is not to say the country is not dangerous.

Rayndral contains many, many tribes of nomads wandering the Great Desert. They are very skilled both at surviving the desert, knowing when to travel, how to find water etc. and at riding horses. They are fearsome warriors, having no notion of fear and no fear of death. They almost always fight from horseback (unless unhorsed) and are extremely skilled at wielding curved scimitars and horse bows from their lofty seat.

While being a fighting force worthy of anxiety, they spend much time fighting within themselves, squabbling for territory. Recently, however, strong forces have ridden out of the Great Desert and attacked fotified positions on the Zandith border. This is very worrying for Zandrith, for if they have been organised this far there must be some leader controlling them to some extent. They fear a mass invasion.
