![]() - Sorceror/Enchanter - Mage/Sorceror/Enchanter Requirements - 16 Int, 16 Wis 460 million exp Sorcerors are the wussy spellcasters of the realms. They can zot for up to 156 damage, which, although it never misses, can unnaffect depending on the opponent's wisdom. They can enhance or screw up others (or their own) stats with mingster, stoneskin, and sap. They can also call rather crappy minions to their side with unkelming and the more powerful warpdoor and finally, they can turn invisible with Iwuganti. Level 24/25 sorcerors have the ability to brightly enchant weapons, armor, helmets and shields. They're best equipped with a Geomancer's Robe. Kiro's comments: What used to be the most feared class in the realms has definitely been reduced to the underdog. After everyone figured out that wisdom actually did stuff, sorcerors got weaker and weaker. They can still completely destroy most saurians and half-orcs and even some other races. They're essential to most parties, however, due to the fact that they roast most monsters alive and can protect the party from traps with airwalk. Aramoug's comments: I think sorcerors are the most underrated class in the game. People say they arent any good now because of the maximum damage of 156 per action. But you cant miss with magic and it rarely fizzles. Unnafects may be common fighting a halfling, but thats about it. Stoneskin gives +60 ac, Mingster up to +12 str, and Sap can give your opponent a whopping -20 str, possibly even more! Iwuganti can make you invisible, airwalk prevents stalk and traps, unkelming/warpdoor summons monsters that can detect hidden enemies, and mightshield increases the armor of your whole party. In my opinion they are MUCH better than everyone says, never underestimate an enchanter. Mortis's comments: In my opinion, people under-rate the ability of sorcerors. The damage they do is constant, and they stand a very good chance against anything that's not a slayer, ninja or halfling. The monsters they summon are also helpful in moshes, since they find hidden people (slayers waiting to backstab). Zildjian's comments: Although with a lack of endurance, sorcerers still play a much needed part in the realms. With the power to cast spells that can alter another players statistics, they aid in the tough battles. Enchanters may not do a whole lot of monster fighting themselves (due to their easy death when not properly protected), but I still consider them one of the most important classes. Opal's Comments: i have lvled 2 enchanters and well 460million exp is a lot and sorcs are not as good anymore because players are making crits with higher wisdoms, but still u can take out any saurian and half orc basically anytime u want. enchanters r still good to have because ss is good for fighting one a days and leveling and airwalk to avoid traps. just dont cross paths with a de ninja or basically anything with 18+wis cause it will be a close fight Sertzer's comments: Enchanters are underrated. While they may not be as powerful as they once were enchanters are excellent for getting one a days and are probably the best class at killing slayers. Other classes, such as monk, have excellent magic resistance and kill enchanters without any problems. They have other spells, as mentioned by Kiro that make a good class to play. The 460 million experience is a little high but should be easier to level then fighter classes because they rarely miss. Back to the Class Info Page |
