A Tunnels and Trolls® play-by-post adventure run by khara_khang
We now present a strange interlude. Please note that this is only a fantasy within a fantasy, and does not actually occur; unless, that is, the GM likes it and wants to keep it!
Four figures approach the massive double doors.
The first is Desuma. She is rather uncharacteristically wearing a blue gingham dress and ruby slippers. Her snakes are pulled back and wrapped into two ponytails. They are hissing in complaint at the mistreatment. A Judy Garland mask covers her face.
Next in line is Domina. Her armor is spray painted a glittering silver and she carries a small hatchet. She also drags along with her the third figure, a straw dummy.
Last is a werelion who is trembling in fear from head to toe.
Domina steps up to the doors and pounds upon them twice with her fist. As they swing open to reveal a long misty corridor, Desuma says, "I don't think we're in Khazan anymore".
Our brave adventurers step through the door and travel down the corridor. Somewhere along the way Domina casts aside the dummy as he is no longer necessary. Eventually, the corridor opens up into a huge room, at the center of which is a huge head surrounded by gouts of flame. Off to one side is a small alcove which is only partially concealed by a carelessly drawn curtain. Within the alcove may be seen a small figure which is frantically operating some type of fantastic machinery.
"PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE HOBBIT BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!!" the head bellows, "I AM KHARA KHANG, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. I AM KHANG THE MIGHTY, KHANG THE OMNIPOTENT, KHANG THE CONQUEROR!"
"Hey, doesn't Marvel Comics own that last trademark?" Domina asks.
"SILENCE!! I WILL NOT BE MOCKED. NOW, WHY ARE YOU HERE?"
"Well, sir, we would like to join the adventure called 'Lizardmen in Red Water Bay'," says Desuma, "we'll post our character sheets next".
"I SEE, AND IS THAT ALL YOU WISH?" the head asks.
"Actually," replies Domina, "I would also like a heart."
"BUT YOU ALREADY HAVE A HEART," the head replies puzzledly.
"I'm afraid you don't understand," says Domina, smilingly showing her fangs and pointing to the cowardly werelion, "I want his heart."
With that the feline screams and runs out into the hallway, where the sound of breaking glass marks his escape....
End of Interlude.
To the GM and anyone who follows our posts, please note that Desuma and Domina are played by a married couple who post from the same computer. It is often convenient to combine our actions in the same post and under one of our club IDs, so while it may appear that one person is trying to control two characters, this is not actually the case.
