Cities of Kalvaria:

Ardock

The northern most city of Kalvaria, Ardock is also the defender and trading between the Kalvarians and the Kilgauls. Ardock was for a brief period of time was under Kilgaul control when Kilgaul made its attack upon Kalvaria. Ardock contains a good population of Kilgauls within itself and thus has a somewhat more Kilgaulish approach to life than the more southern cities.

Tythus

Tythus is often termed the city of caravans or the crossroads. Caravans flow in from every direction. Tythus is not a large city. It was once just a rest stop along the way for travelers but has steadily grown to its present size.

Bastis

Named after the large river nearby, Bastis is a humid border city. It’s the birthplace of the legendary Jastil Redcloak. Some people doubt that the famed Redcloak, but the residents of Bastis proudly carry his name.

Victus

Victus is the largest city between the border and the captial. It’s name, meaning victory in High Tasarian, came from a major victory when the Tasarian Empire invaded Ankaral.

Salbane

Like Victus and Tythus, Salbane is a major thoroughfare between the captial and the border.

Naithen

Naithen built up as the ferry between the southern island and the mainland. Its also a major port for fishing.

Talreth

Talreath was the first settlement planted by the Tasarians. Its now known as the watchful city looking for signs of return by the Tasarians.

Cith Kalvaria

The capital of all of Kalvaria, Cith Kalvaria is named after the first king of Kalvaria. Cith is High Tasarian for “capital of”. It lies on the edge of the southern swamps know as the sinking lands, because most of the surface is under at least a few inches of water.

Ranis

Ranis is first settlement on the southern island. The island contains large iron deposits near the surface, making Ranis one of the leading miners of iron. Its also the primary port between the mainland and the southern island.

Gabiris

Gabiris is mainly a large mining camp. It sits near a large concentration of iron ore.

Olis

Olis is largely a port town. It’s the half-way mark between one side of Kalvaria and the other. It has some of the finest ship building facilities in Kalvaria. Olis is also a watch post against pirates.

Bastion of Tal

The Bastion of Tal was a fortress constructed by followers of Tal. Its one of the few overt buildings dedicated to Tal. From here the Tal’s followers attack Ranis hoping to stop the iron supply to the mainland. Their attack however failed. A large force of Kalvarian troops as well a number of clerics of Aldin were quickly dispatched to lay siege to the fortress. Upon arriving at the fortress, they were met by a great host of undead. The largest number of undead ever recorded in one group. With the help of the clerics of Aldin, Kalvaria was ultimately successful. Now the Bastion lies in ruins, but undead still haunt the area much to the clerics of Aldin’s dismay. The fortress seems a magnet for undead creatures.

Hanvalik

This village is a small gnomish community in southwest Kalvaria, located near the swamps.
