Farewell Letter

(EDITOR'S NOTE:  The evangelist "PULPITPASTOR" met this Christian via AIM online.

Megan Carter's Testimony

Hey! My name is Megan and I'm from Indiana.  I was raised in the church since I was born.  My whole family were Christians and I just accepted it.  About 6th grade I started questioning things.  Everything.  God, my faith, everything.

I was in a Christian school at the time and I was an outcast.  All of the kids were hypocrites and I didn't want to be like them, so I changed.  I decided that I didn't know if I wanted part of what they called Christianity if it meant hurting peoples feelings. In 8th grade all these bad things started happening...my friends were moving away, my grandma (my best friend) died, my youth pastor left...it seemed as though things couldn't get any worse.

I was wrong.

One of my good friends got put in prison for 18 months. Through those 18 months I really grew to know myself.  I decided to write Michael, not really expecting an answer just to let him know I loved him and I was praying for him. I got a letter back and I was so excited...we kept writing each other.  Michael taught me so much.  How to love myself was the first thing...he also taught me that I needed to fall back in the grace of God and trust His perfect plan. I learned that in school I needed to be the one that was different, to show people God's love.  Those 18 months were the best for me, unfortunately when Michael was in prison.

Michael is home now and we are still really close.  I have been through a lot: such as my new youth pastor having a affair with one of the girls in our youth group; and a friend who I thought was on the right path almost dying due to alcohol poisoning.  Michael has been there for me through all of it.  He's a great friend, and without him who knows where I'd be.  Even though he is a great friend, God is better.  God will never leave me nor forsake me... He promises me this... And thanks to Michael, I helped find that promise!!!

Well, that's my testimony...I hope it can help you!

Megan
