Accepting God's Word

(Focus verse: 1Thessalonians 2:13)

How do you accept God’s Word? What kind of attitude do you usually have when confronted with the message presented from the Bible?

God’s Word will always be God’s Word. It isn’t only God’s Word sometime, part-time or most of the time. The Bible is God’s Word revealed to His beloved creature known as man, all the TIME! It is what it is, regardless of your opinion of it.

Therefore, the question posed to you isn’t on what you THINK the Bible is. The question posed to you in this message is bluntly this: “Would you ACCEPT the Bible as God’s Word to you in your own life?”

Someone has once said something to this effect: “when I was a non-believer, I looked in the Bible as 66 odd books that remain distant away, if not irrelevant. But when I became a believer, it has become 66 love letters from God. It now contains jewels to be dug up by the daily reading of God’s Word.”

Again, to challenge you one more time: “Would you receive God’s Word in your own life?”

If you do, how much praise would there be, the same praise and joy the Apostle Paul had:

“And we also thank God continually because when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.” (1Thessalonians 2:13)

Clearly, as this verse states, the Word of God would be at “work in you who believe”.
