Shizumaru Hisame no Koibito
Chapter 7
The next day, Shizumaru traveled to the top of Mitzu Hill with Sue Gee Ko behind him. (cuz he didn't know
the area.) Since yesterdays incidence Sue Gee Ko hasn't said one word to him. As they reached the top of
the hill they saw Ukyo waiting for them. " I see you brought the (#23)bijin with you." he said scanning Sue Gee
Ko.
" (#24)Damaru!" hissed Shizumaru taking his umbrella from behind him.
" I see I hit a weak spot." said Ukyo opening his Iaito to see a inch of the blade. Shizumaru's eyes flared with
anger. Sue Gee Ko stepped back, and the fight began. "Scarlet Sword Mist Blast!" Shizumaru thought his
umbrella as a projectile at Ukyo, which he countered by jumping in the air and slashed Shizumaru with his
Swallow Swipe move. Shizumaru shuffled back a little ways and grabbed his umbrella that he though at Ukyo.
"Shizumaru, you can not defeated me." Ukyo said with a smile.
" We'll see about that- huh?" Shizumaru looked at his arm in surprise, blood started gushing out from a clean
slash.
" You see boy, no matter how far you are I can still hit you." Shizumaru grit his teeth hard and glared at his
opponent.
He rushed to Ukyo and slashed his umbrella at him yelling "(25)Kami Gaeshi!".
"Oh, Shizu-!" cried Sue Gee Ko as she saw Shizumaru being strike numerous times, thanks to Ukyo's
'(26)Hiken Sasame Yuki' [I can't just stand here and watch Shizumaru get slaughtered by him.... what can I do?]
interrupting her thoughts she heard Shizumaru scream as he was tossed in the air and slashed by Ukyo. Her
eyes widened as she saw scarlet red blood drip from his body. [This is it.... I don't know how long I can hold out
for.....] Shizumaru panted getting up to his feet with the umbrella to support him.
" Are you ready to excepted defeat Shizumaru?" asked Ukyo with a satisfying grin on his face.
" N- Never..... you (27)baka!" stammered Shizumaru.
" Then good bye to you for good!" Ukyo who was all powered up, took an apple and was about to do the
ending attack. Shizumaru who didn't know what was happening, stood there getting the wind back in himself.
Sue Gee Ko started to run towards Shizumaru, knowing that if he gets hit with this attack, it would be all over
for him. Sue Gee Ko fell suddenly screaming Shizumaru's name, as the blade of the Iaito hit her. Shizumaru's
eyes widened and stood in shock. His body was stiff as a statue, he couldn't move as Sue Gee Ko fell limp
into his arms. He looked down at her spiritless body as he held her up. " No......" he gasped in a whisper, as
tears began to form.
" No... oh no..... not you too.... SUE GEE KO!!!" he yelled as he fell to his knees as he clenched the lifeless
body of the temple girl.
" That foolish girl," grunted Ukyo. "she shouldn't have gotten the way in the first place." Shizumaru's eyes
burned with fury as he laid the deceased girl gently on the grassy field.
"You (28)bakemono! How can you do this to someone so innocent!! (29)Shi'ne!!" Shizumaru yelled opening
his umbrella. "(#12)Ou . . . Toufuuzan!!!" Ukyo laid lifeless on the ground. Shizumaru straightened out his jacket
then picked Sue Gee Ko up and glared at his opponent, " Sorry about that gash!" and left Ukyo who was
unconscious on the grassy field.

Shizumaru hovered over the bandaged Sue Gee Ko as she lay life less on the bed. Shizumaru clasped her
hand and bring it close to his cheek. " Forgive me Sue Gee Ko . . . if I knew what was going to happen I
wouldn't have brought you . . . I wouldn't have stayed these past days with you, if I knew that you would have
been hurt." he sobbed quietly as he held her hand. She suddenly began to stirred, in a moment after she
opened her eyes. "(#30)Doko . . .?" she asked in a gasping voice as she looked around. Shizumaru's smile
as he blinked back the tears. " You are in the temple, and are now safe." Sue Gee Ko attempted to get up but
Shizumaru stopped her. " Don't move, you are still (#31)kaga." Shizumaru said still holding her hand.
" What happened Shizumaru-kun?" Shizumaru felt a wave of guilt wash over him, he dear not look into Sue
Gee Ko's gaze, which he thought would despise him when he told her. As he finished telling her all she did
was nodded and said, " (#32) Naruhodo....."
" Its all my fault you got hurt, I should have never agreed to stay here if I knew you where going to...to," tears
rolled down his eyes.
" Shizumaru-kun, it isn't your fault, I did it for you because I care about you," she said sitting up. "and I know you
have a destiny that you must fulfill, to find this demon that holds the key to your past." wrapping her arms around
him. Shizumaru's tearful eyes looked up at Sue Gee Ko's and with a smile she said, " I hope you don't leave
yet." hopefully.
" I promise you I won't leave until you get better, (#3)kararazu!" he beamed.

Three days passed by as Sue Gee Ko got better with Shizumaru's help. On the forth night, Shizumaru and
Sue Gee Ko where up on Mitzu Hill, where the bloody battle against Ukyo was fought. The warrior and the
temple girl lay in the grassy field, gazed up at the stream of stars in the sky with hand in hand. "
Shizumaru-kun," Sue Gee Ko said still looking at the stars. " tonight will be your last night here with me."
Shizumaru looked at her in surprise and shock, as she continued, " you have spent too much time here taking
looking after me, it is now time to find your past." She squeezed his hand tightly then relaxed.
" I know," he said slowly, his heart feeling heavy. Picturing himself leaving Sue Gee Ko. Alone. [What will
happen to her if I die? Will she still live on? Well she forget about me?] these questions raced thought
Shizumaru's head. [Oh please God, I hope not.]
