Chapter 6
WHACK, WHACK, ....WHACK! Sue Gee Ko slid open the door and poked her head out to see Shizumaru
attacking two wooden poles.
[He has been practicing for hours, and hasn't even stopped for a break.] Sue Gee Ko thought with a sigh. "
Shizumaru, please stop." Sue Gee Ko pleaded stepping out of the temple. Shizumaru stopped for a moment
and looked at her.
" I can't Sue Gee Ko, I must keep going so I can prepare for the fight tomorrow." he said as he continued to
whack the poles.
" But your still wounded!" she protested.
" I can't lose this fight." he said firmly.
" Well I don't want to lose you!" Sue Gee Ko cried out. Shizumaru stopped immediately as soon as he heard
her last words. Sue Gee Ko looked at him with watery eyes for an instant then went back inside. Shizumaru
sat down on the bench wondering what to do to next.
